I stayed there several times on family ski trips about 30 years ago. I still can't forget the grated yam for breakfast here. I'd like to go there again just for breakfast.

I stayed here for one night at the end of August with my dog.The retro feel of the bath and the quality of the spring water were great 😊Dinner at the hearth was very delicious and the atmosphere and the charcoal-grilled rockfish and scallops went well with the sake🍶. The Kiritanpo hot pot soup stock was also delicious.A morning walk gives you a refreshing feeling of nature. The dog was also having a lot of fun.

I stayed at Village II with my dog on a sightseeing trip to Lake Tazawa.Meals are served by the hearth, and both the charred rice and kiritanpo nabe on the first day are delicious. The yam rice for breakfast was also great and I had a second helping every day.I was worried about leaving my dog alone in the room during mealtimes, so I talked to the receptionist and asked them to take care of the meals so that my family could take turns.Free Wi-Fi was also available. Even in late June, it can get cold in the mornings, so wearing only a yukata is too cold, so we recommend wearing an extra layer. It's hot during the day.Best of all, I think this is a hotel where dogs can run and relax in the room.I would like to visit again during the fall foliage season, when the dock run under construction will be completed.

Although it is a little far from Lake Tazawa, it is a hot spring that is fed directly from the source. The meal was delicious and tasteful as we were able to enjoy Akita Prefecture's local cuisine in a restaurant surrounded by an irori hearth.

It's like traveling back in time to the Showa era.It was a relaxing stay with a natural hot spring in the middle of nature, home-cooked food but with professional skill that allowed you to understand the flavor of the soup stock, and friendly staff with Akita accents.I feel like I become gentler when I bathe in the hot springs at Plateau. It's showing its age overall, but that's good too.The rooms have been renovated and are clean, and although they don't have a lot of amenities, that's still good. I thought it was good that it didn't go all the way. Dinner and breakfast served around the hearth are filled with local cuisine, and the large scallops and the famous kiritanpo are so delicious. The slightly salty salmon for breakfast is also unique to this area, and will give you a boost of energy. I think it's good that there is no excessive service.

I was taken care of by Village II, a cottage where you can stay with your dog.It is located in Tazawako Kogen Onsen Village, which goes up from the shore of Lake Tazawa to the hill where the ski resort is located, and is on the way to Nyuto Onsen Village (I also took a day trip to Nyuto Onsen to take a bath). There are several inns next to it, but it's a nice place surrounded by forests 🌳The American-style cottage with very high ceilings had a sense of freedom, and my dog was able to freely roam around. There are many walking courses and an area with a panoramic view of Lake Tazawa is also nearby. While I was eating, I was not at home in my room, but I did my best to relax and be polite. At the restaurant, you can enjoy Akita's famous hot pot and grilled dishes in the irori hearth, but above all, the rice cooked in the oven is exquisite. To commemorate my stay, he took a picture of me, put it in a frame, and gave me a present, which I still have on display in my living room. The bath is also very satisfying with the surrounding hot springs ♨️

I stayed at Cottage II with my family of 4 and 2 dogs (Chihuahua and toy poodle). The cottage is beautiful and has a very relaxing structure. A dog run is also available. It's a bit inconvenient that there is no foot washing area! For dinner, we enjoyed ayu, scallops, shrimp, meatballs, salmon meuniere, taro miso dengaku, and the main dish, kiritanpo hot pot, at the robata. We also recommend visiting the public bath during bright hours before the sun goes down or in the morning! There was an abandoned hotel in the area, and I felt lonely.
