Very friendly staff. They kept our backpacks for us to do the Dakigaeri Gorge. The rooms are very spacious and very well soundproofed, despite being next to the train tracks, you can't hear anything.

This hotel is located right outside the ticket gates of Kakunodate Station, and takes advantage of the strength of being affiliated with JR East.Because of Kakunodate's location, many tourists travel by car, so the area around the station is quiet. There is a convenience store at the station, but it closes after 7pm.You won't find a 24-hour convenience store unless you go near the samurai residence. The important hotel facilities seemed to have been renovated, and there were USB terminals and outlets next to the bed.Breakfast was pretty standard side dishes. Since it was a late breakfast, it seemed like some time had passed since the rice was cooked, so it wasn't very tasty. A little disappointing.

The hotel is right next to Kakunodate Station. The hotel receptionist told us that the train can park in front of the station at night, but it needs to be moved in the morning. The hotel has two floors. There is no elevator on the second floor, so you can only climb stairs. Because we arrived late, we were assigned a room on the second floor. But the guy at the counter was very nice and helped us carry our luggage. Although the room is not big, it is reasonably clean. The water jet of the bathroom faucet is also quite strong. Although the breakfast in the hotel is not very good, it is quite delicious.

Convenient near the station which can be reached by the rather basic Shinkansen, the Onsen is missing which is a relief in the summer heat, the town doesn't offer much except for a road with ancient samurai …

I stayed here from August 2nd to 4th, 2024. 2 adults, 1 child (1 year old)I was looking for a place to stay in Omagari due to sudden news of his death, but there were no vacancies and I couldn't find a hotel that looked good, so I decided to stay here. It's a 1-minute walk from the station, the receptionist is very helpful, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was also delicious, and I was expecting it to taste like a famous business hotel, but it was a pleasant surprise. The man at the reception lent my son a Komachi toy, and I was warmed by his kindness and consideration. If I ever come to Akita, I would like to stay again.

I had high expectations for a JR hotel, but the breakfast was like frozen food with limited variety. The rooms are not soundproofed enough to allow voices in the hallway and the sounds of children running to reach the bed.Other than that I had no complaints
