This is an old-fashioned hot spring inn that smells of sulfur and is surrounded by mud. The building is old and leaning due to the weight of snow, but please take it as such.The hot springs have separate indoor baths for men and women (with a washing area, shampoo, etc.), and you can go directly to the open-air bath from the indoor bath. There is also an open-air bath for guests only, where you can take a bath while watching the morning sun.The open-air bath is cold even in the summer, so we recommend warming up in the indoor bath before going. There is no mud in the indoor baths, but all the outdoor baths have mud at the bottom. You can find mud you like and pack it on the spot.The meals at the inn were buffet-style in the morning and evening, and we enjoyed the local specialties as well as many wild vegetables that we had never eaten before. There is famous water nearby, and you can even drink coffee made with this water.
