Features of hot spring innsAtmosphere of the hot spring: The open-air bath with cloudy sulfur springs has a wonderful smell and color, and you can enjoy a sense of freedom in nature. You can enjoy the spectacular view.Condition of the facility: The bottom panels and walkways are not well maintained, creating a risk of injury, and there are some areas that are dangerous, such as nails sticking out of the bathtub. Not suitable for people with weak legs or elderly people. Children also need sufficient supervision. Also, some people may find it difficult, especially since they have to pass through men to access the women-only area.Bathing: In the mixed open-air bath, you can wear bathing suits and towels, making it suitable for families and women alike. The quality of the hot springs is high, and you can see the source gushing out. *Towels are expensive, but can be purchased at the reception.Service and food: Meals are buffet-style and use a wide variety of local ingredients, with the wild vegetable dishes being particularly popular. Also, the staff was kind.Access: Access takes time. 1 and a half hours by private car from Morioka. Especially in winter, it is essential to check the road conditions in advance.Other: The black eggs are the best, so you should definitely buy them. (It's salty and the inside is half-cooked, which is great!")General reviewIt is a place where you can enjoy the beauty and grace of nature, the history that goes back thousands of years, and the goodness of hot springs. Some people may find it difficult to maintain and access the facilities, but I personally think that there is no harm in going, and that you should go at least once in your life.

It was one of the three secret hot springs I really wanted to visit when I was touring the Tohoku secret hot springs, so I went there with high expectations. The results came out and I was right!I knew that the open-air bath was set up in a rustic style, but I wasn't expecting it to be gushing out from under my feet, so I was very impressed. However, if you're not careful, you'll sometimes be surprised by the freshly gushing hot water hitting your butt. The quality of the spring water is rich in sulfur and seems to be very effective. There was a lot of mud under my feet; this was my first time at a hot spring with so much mud. I think this would be nice for women.I was thinking, ``I wonder if there are people who do mud packs,'' and there was a woman who did it (lol). Moreover, there are several open-air baths, so I enjoyed moving around from place to place.Furthermore, there is a spectacular view almost from the top of the mountain. It felt refreshing. I decided to stay another night.I got up early and went to see the sunrise from another open-air bath in the morning. Everyone came to see the sun.The indoor bath is pretty easy to use, and it's a great option to use once the sun goes down. Also, many of the staff members here are seniors, and I found them very interesting and soothing! It's closed during the winter, so it's probably only available during the summer. The food was pretty average, but since I was staying for several nights this time, they served me a small side dish on the second night. It's a pity that we don't have a TV refrigerator, but it can't be helped since it would break down quickly in hot springs with such a high sulfur content. There is a shared refrigerator in the hallway that you can use.I was able to barely connect to the inn's WiFi in my room. When I checked out, I received a 3,000 yen discount coupon (other hotels did not do this), so I would like to stay with them again next year.thank you very much!

While watching the autumn leaves 🍁 all the way to the top of Hachimantai, I ate Babahera ice cream and soaked in Fujishichi Onsen ♨️. The light of the sun☀ and the clear blue sky in the open-air hot spring bath felt super comfortable and refreshed both mind and body.

Used as a day trip hot spring.Since the Hachimantai Jukai Line was closed, we used the Aspite Line, but there was thick fog near the summit! The temperature is 5 degrees! It differs by more than 10 degrees from the lower bound. I came here anyway, but it was so cold that I jumped from one bath to another. None of the open-air baths felt hot.The special feature of this hot spring is the open-air bath where bubbles bubble up from the bottom of the water. First time for this type. The vast open-air bath surrounded by nature is worth a visit. Is there no faucet in the indoor bath?Lunch only had soba and udon. When you get to this point, you should also try the open-air bath at Fukenoyu Onsen. It is also a different kind of open-air bath.Autumn leaves just in time. I heard that the autumn leaves will be over next week, but I can't say that the autumn leaves will be very beautiful.

It was a drop-in hot spring, and my family of three used it. Pretty good. The scenery and spring quality are excellent. Basically, open-air baths are mixed bathing, so you will need to wear something like a towel dress. Located in the middle of nature, you can enjoy a sense of freedom. It's a spectacular view. I would like to stay there someday.

For day-trippers, the open-air bath with cloudy sulfur springs has the best atmosphere for a hot spring, both in smell and color. However, there is a risk of injury as the bottom board and walkway boards are not well maintained. The women-only open-air bath may be a hurdle for women as it requires a long walk through the mixed bathing area. There may be some thinking that it's fine to have a rustic atmosphere, but I thought it was not kind to bathers.

A quiet hot spring located at an altitude of 1400 meters with a beautiful view. The open-air bath has a sense of freedom, close to the open air, with water gushing out at your feet. I think you can find the temperature that suits you.

Although the Jukai Line is closed to traffic, you can still drive down to the inn from the top of Hachimantai.Enter the entrance and pay the bathing fee of 650 yen at the reception desk on the left.A hot water bath is sold for 1,800 yen. There are four colors. The design is cute, but it's too fluttery, and the openings at the chest and armpits are too big, so I wouldn't recommend it from a functional standpoint. It's better to bring it.Go outside and the entrance to the bath is on your left. It feels like going exploring. There is a shoe rack, but it's not deep, so if you don't put your shoes in at an angle, they will fall out. There are coin lockers available for a fee both outside and inside the door. The washing area has 2 seats. No shower. There is a faucet, so be careful to adjust the temperature of the hot water. There is shampoo etc., but it is a place where you can quickly rinse off and enjoy the hot water. There is one indoor bath. There is a great sense of freedom when you go out into the open air. It's a mixture of hot and lukewarm. The part where the water is coming out from the hose is warm. Fujihachi no Yu and Ninoyu. The water is cloudy and you can't see inside, so you need to be careful about the floor when you enter. Trees may be sticking out, or rocks may be raised at the bottom. The footing is pretty bad.The quality of the spring water is good and it feels good. Isn't it the best? However, I feel sorry for the women. When women come in, everyone stares at me and I feel bad. I wish I could just look away. There is one open-air bath for women, but you have to walk at the very back, exposed to all eyes. At least the indoor baths should be reversed for men and women.I feel the inn's malice. Some people were wearing swimsuits. Nice complete defense. Some people also bring proper clothes and wear them when taking a bath. (The type sold at Sukayu)It's open until late October, so I'm glad I came. Definitely a repeat visit here. It was a very satisfying bath.

It's a hot spring surrounded by nature. Women should bring a bath towel or lightweight clothes that you don't mind getting wet in the bath. There's also mud, which you can apply to your body as a pack. Unfortunately, I don't. , I didn't bring it with me, so I couldn't take a bath outside, which I regret.
