The onsen overlooks a garden, the indoor has a cold and warm bath. Outdoor is hotter. The food is excellent, if you book via hotel website you can choose to add on wagyu (Japanese prime beef) or fugu (puffer fish). The breakfast area overlooks a garden and has one of the best Japanese curry, which says a lot since this is served in a hotel buffet and not a curry house. The best part is the sleep. No lights, quiet and the mattress is double stacked. The pillow is layered too, will try to find this brand in Tokyo to bring home. All in all, one of the best sleeps in Japan; definitely better than 90% of the ryokans/hotels I’ve stayed in.

Visited onsen on weekday, so it wasn't crowded. Only had 2-3 person maximum in the onsen at same time, so it was very peaceful and enjoyable. Food is delicious and fresh.

This is nice hotel about 10mins out of the city. The breakfast buffet and dinner that comes with the room is very well thought out. Although the dinner is better with personalised service in a private dining room. …

Stayed for 2 nights in cold snowy February. Staff were all very hospitable and helpful. They may not speak much English but they would still go all out to help you. …

I did not stay in the hotel so I can't say much about the rooms but my friends and I did try their onsen and were duly impressed.||For all three of us, it was our first time to try an onsen.  …

I use this as my regular lodging when returning to my parents' home in Akita.I have a breakfast only plan and have dinner in front of the station or at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant nearby. The breakfast includes Akita's local cuisine, which I think is very delicious. The location is very convenient as I get off at the Akita Kita Interchange and head to the hotel in about 10 minutes.Above all, the smooth quality of the hot springs is the number one reason I stay here every time, even though my parents' house is about 10 minutes away. This is a very nice and relaxing inn that is rare in the Kanto region.
