Stayed in the ground floor apartment through AirBnB and loved it. Whilst compact It was comfortable for 3 large guys, and the chilled plunge bath and sauna were perfect after a long, hot day sightseeing. The host was great with communication through and gave clear instructions on how to get the most out of the property. Whilst very close to all of Namba & Dontonbri's actions, it wasn't as loud at night as expected and slewped well without earplugs. Would definitely recommend and re book on my next trip to osaka.

We had a great stay at Distortion9. It is in a great location which is n walking distance to the train and attractions such as Namba shrine and Dotonbori shopping area. The converted shipping container is clean and modern. There is a nice TV with Netflix, comfortable beds and a wonderful soaking tub on the balcony. There's even a big basket of snacks for you when you arrive!

First of all, communication with the manager via Airbnb was a breeze. You can expect immediate attention and feedback. Our family of 4 had a pleasant stay for three nights this April. The location was extremely convenient from KIX airport taking the Nankai Rapi:t to Namba Station. There were many good restaurants and Family Mart situated very near.We occupied the 2F with 2 bedrooms + outside bath tub. The unit was tastefully decorated and all the amenities were well provided for. There was also complimentary chips and candies for snacks. We loved that the shower and toilet were separated.Overall a very good experience for our family to stay for the first time in a container van converted into a luxury unit. I definitely recommend this place.

We loved our stay at Distortion9.The location is great - less than 5 minute walk to Namba station which gets you almost anywhere you want to go in Osaka.15ish minute walk to Dotonburi and a 2 minute walk to Yasaka Shrine. There’s also 2 konbinis incredibly close and the accommodation has a fridge, freezer, microwave and stove top if you feel like staying in.There’s some really great little places to eat and visit really, really close as well. The accommodation itself is very comfortable, although the bed is quite small but it was good enough for 2 large people. There is noise that comes from the main road. Ear plugs are provided, but we didn’t find it affected our sleep at all.The sauna is absolutely fantastic. Having a sauna directly in the room is brilliant. The one flaw about this place is the temperature. It is very cold, even with all three heaters going so definitely rug up.

The idea of living in a shipping container is brilliantly implemented.Unfortunately, we noticed some deficiencies.Outside the container, right next to it, a lot of rubbish accumulates and looks unkempt. The rubbish was also not recommended for the 3 days.Unfortunately our toilet was clogged, but we got it working again. The owner asked us to use the toilet in the other apartment and answered quickly. The technical equipment is great. The outside track is also great, but there is a lack of storage space and a little more equipment would be an advantage. The location is great.

Location is great. The shower, bathtub and living room are well furnished and large. The bedrooms are cramped and uncomfortable. Also a bit carelessly and barely furnished. This is where you get a youth hostel feeling. The garbage right next to the containers is probably still a problem. If you want something cool to talk about and want to take photos of the outside, you're in good hands here. Otherwise, maybe choose a classic hotel.

Very convenient location 6 minutes walk from Nankai Namba railway station - thus very handy for arriving / departing from Kansai International Airport (KIX). Once inside the Architect has done an amazing job - you no longer realize the shell is shipping containers. The bath, which is actually outside is great.

We paid ¥102,060 (about $1,130AUD) for two nights, and were bitterly disappointed given the price. We figured we would treat ourselves during our trip to Osaka, based on the lovely photos online - but soon found out that we'd wasted our money. The view outside the window is of the empty lot next door, which is full of dumped rubbish. The place is a converted shipping container, with cheap furnishing and incredibly poor insulation, so you are at the mercy of the outside temperature and the outside noise. There are 3 split-system AC units in the place, and we had all three going at once for many hours, and were still cold. They were working fine and blowing out hot air, but the container could just not hold the warm air and was filling with cold air from outside (even though all windows and doors were closed). I had a very bad sleep due to all the noise - the place is on a main road, so you can hear every single car and motorbike that drives past as if there were no walls at all. The beds are cheap, and there are no bedside tables so you will need to put all your things on the floor. One positive thing was the projector with Netflix provided, but without a comfortable lounge, we couldn't enjoy this as much as we would have liked. The "lounge" is just cheap seating and not comfortable to lay down on and relax. Another positive is the outdoor bath, but this might be the only thing I enjoyed about the place. All in all, I would say this is probably the equivalent of 2-3 star accommodation (3-star at absolute maximum), and we have certainly had a much more comfortable stay in 3-star hotels in Japan. We regret not just staying in a nice local hotel, which would have been much nicer and certainly much more cost effective.
