Suganuma Camp Village is a wonderful campsite that you will want to visit again and again. Due to its high altitude, it is ideal as a summer resort, and has good access to kitchens, toilets, and garbage dumps. You can walk to the lake in a few minutes and enjoy kayaking and boating at a reasonable price. It's the perfect place to spend some relaxing time in nature.

I went to Suganuma Camp Village, which is over 1,700m!20° during the day and 15° at nightThis is a summer resort!At first I thought the receptionist was not very friendly, but after talking with them about various things, they were very kind.There is no electricity in the bungalow.You can borrow free portable power supplies next to the reception desk.There is a charge for sheets and pillows, but blankets are free.Firewood and charcoal are soldThere is a charge for pots, knives, cutting boards, etc.In a sense, I come empty-handed.There is a place to dispose of garbage on the premises.There is also a kitchen and washroom.It has been thoroughly cleaned.I don't think there are many campgrounds that are as beautiful and well stocked as this one.If there are no clouds at night, the sky is full of starsThe Milky Way can also be seen with the naked eyeThe shower room was also very clean.If I had to point out the only difficulty,There is no cellphone reception at all and it takes 30 minutes each way to go shopping.There are several baths 15-20 minutes away.

It seemed unlikely that I would be able to see Suganuma unless I entered the campsite, so I paid 100 yen to enter.Suganuma is a lake dammed by lava from Mt. Nikko Shirane, and its water, which changes from emerald green to indigo blue as it gets deeper, boasts some of the clearest water in Japan. The green of the trees from early summer to summer, and the red and yellow of the autumn leaves reflected on the water surface, creating a beautiful contrast.It is also known as one of the highest lakes in Japan due to its surface height of 1,731 meters. There is also a campsite on the lakeside where you can enjoy canoeing. There were many people boating and canoeing.You can also fish, but it's catch and release. ^^;

I tried to stop by because I wanted to get closer to the lake and to ask about kayak rentals, but I decided not to go because the parking lot was charged and I could see it from the national highway. I'm sorry.

Mobile phone (au.docomo) has no signal.Opposite the campsite is a souvenir shop and a shop where you can eat udon and soba noodles.Kayaks allowed (guests only)SUPs cannot be brought in.Portable power supplies are available free of charge to guests.You can also boil water with Tefal.The bungalow is chilly at night even at the end of July.It says "up to 6 people", but is it wrong for 3 people? That spaciousness.There is a futon. Blankets are also available for free rental.There is a charge for sheets.Cup ramen, sweets, and ice can be purchased at the reception.You can stay with your dog.There are also toilets everywhere.There is a dog run. (Lots of deer droppings)There are lots of trash cans.On the weekends, there will be quite a lot of dogs.

I did not stay overnight.I went there to find out that this was the place where my parents had taken me long ago, and only had photos left, but when I heard that there was a 100 yen entrance fee just to look at it, I left indignant.The only way to get to the shores of Suganuma is to pass through this campsite, so you will need to pay an entrance fee even if you are just visiting Suganuma for sightseeing purposes.

I didn't stay overnight, but the water quality was very beautiful, and it was early June, so the flowers were blooming, and I wanted to stay there someday.
