I used it for mountain climbing.The view of Mt. Nantai and Lake Chuzenji from the room was amazing.It's a shame that there is no hot spring, but I'm satisfied with the price of 5,000 yen for a room without meals.

I used it in late October 2020 as the final accommodation for a solo trip.Up until Konira, I had stayed mainly in business hotels as I had stayed mostly in urban areas.I chose this minshuku because of its location in Oku-Nikko and because of my budget.It's the only guesthouse, so I was a little worried about the service before I visited, but my fears turned out to be unfounded and I'm really glad I stayed there.Reason 1I was able to have a heartwarming experience unique to a guesthouse.→Although both the landlady and the host followed a standard customer service manual and were not very good with words, their behavior conveyed their desire to provide hospitality to the guests.Reason 2I was able to revive my childhood memories.→The nostalgic memory of going swimming with my family in the summer when I was young and staying the night there came back to me, which I had forgotten for several decades.Reason 3The food was delicious→Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and I was able to get my fill.→When I checked out, I told them that the food was delicious.I still remember what the proprietress said to me, ``The equipment is old, so at least we want our customers to be satisfied with the food.''Reason 4The view was wonderful→You can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Chuzenji and Mt. Satisfied with good taste and volumeI can't really complain about this price, but the bath was a little... and there was no air conditioning, probably because it was right in front of Lake Chuzenji, where it was cool even at night. If you drink alcohol in your room, there will be an additional charge...that's tough.When you wake up in the morning, you can see a beautiful view of Mt. Nantai and Lake Chuzenji. The hostess boiled hot water for me and put it in a thermo water bottle for me, so I can make hot green tea to warm myself up.You have to make your bed yourself, but it's not hard. This B&B is like 5-10 min walk from Chuzenji shrine, and if you want to visit the shrine from Nikko, you will see the B&B on the way there.Bath:There're separate bathroom for male and female, so it's not like a family style bathroom. There two sinks and shared by male and female. The bathtub isn't large, but it's big enough for one person to have a nice and hot bath. It did get really hot, so you can open the window in the bathroom if you want some fresh air. Notice that there's like mountain behind, so nobody can peak(I THINK AT LEAST, but check just in case).Dinner:Dinner was served at 6pm that night, but I think you can ask her if you want to eat a bit later. The dining area is at the first floor, and there's a kitchen next to it. I think the hostess actually has a cook permit, so she cooks really well! I love my dinner that night!Price:I paid 7350 yen for my stay which includes one dinner. It's nice since there's literately no restaurant opening at night in that area. Maybe it's different in the summer, but places don't open in winter. I think the price is alright.Overall:I'd stay here again because the dinner was yummy and she was nice to me. Oh btw, there's wifi in the dinner room, and you can get SOME wifi in your room. It's very limited, so don't get surprised if your wifi is like on and off ..
