It is located between the Kusatsu bus terminal and Yubatake. It's uphill from Yubatake. The inside of the building is very clean. The room is small but has everything you want. Apparently it was 4.5 tatami mats, but if you are alone, you will be very satisfied. The spring quality is good and the temperature is just right.I was happy to be able to drink coffee freely in the kitchen, which was free to use. With this content and price, it's understandable that many people would stay here permanently. The only problem was that I could hear a lot of noise.Voices from inside the room leaked into the hallway.I could hear people talking all the way through the night, making it difficult to fall asleep. I was diagonally across the street, so I thought that the people next door and across the street would probably be crowded. There is a warning on the guide, so I can only say it's a matter of customer morale, but I think there are a lot of opinions like this.To be honest, I can only call this a matter of luck, but if you are sensitive to sound, you might want to consider this. However, there is no doubt that it is a wonderful accommodation.

I have been taking hot springs for about a week every year, but this is my first time in Kusatsu. When you think of Kusatsu Onsen, hot spring lovers tend to think of only good things. When using this type of inn (hot spring type?), unlike other inns, there are some things you need to be careful about. It's not very sturdy, and it's not the same as an inn that takes privacy into consideration. In that respect, I think the price is reasonable (although in this case, it seems to be quite expensive due to renovations)When you enter the entrance of an inn, you have to take into consideration the unique rules, just like strangers spending time together in an ordinary private house. No matter how much you like hot springs, even if you decide to take a bath, you have to be careful about the customers who are in the room next to the bath early in the morning and late at night. In short, it is easier to understand if you think of the relationship here as one between the landlord and the tenant, rather than the relationship between the inn and the guest. This point is different from other hot spring inns (I don't think they have any interaction between guests in mind).Of course you have to pay in advance for the number of nights you stay at the Oya, and before you can enjoy the hot springs, the walls in the bathroom are thin, so if you stay in a room like that, you might not be able to sleep due to the noise.Failure to pay attention to these and other precautions may lead to conflicts. The relationship between the customer and the management is different from that of a normal hotel where meals are provided.I'm sure Mr. Oya is also thinking about what kind of people will come.If you can't understand these things, this style of accommodation is not suitable for you.Specifically, the volume of the TV in the room was 2 or 3 (this was my first experience), but the sound still leaked into the hallway, so I had to be careful during my stay (5 nights). There is almost no sound from other rooms, so other guests are probably not watching TV or are using earphones. If I had known this information in advance, I would have chosen a different accommodation, but now I have no regrets. There was no place to step in the six-tatami room, with two futons and a kotatsu lit.I requested a change to a larger room for a customer who was returning mid-way, but the request was easily denied.A customer in a room with a bath and one wall next to each other complained that they couldn't sleep because of the noise (they took a bath around 10 p.m. before going to bed).Since then, the idea that we could soak in a hot spring anytime has completely disappeared.I found a comment from a customer who said that in the guest room on the first floor, one wall separates them and they can really hear people talking in the bathroom, but from that alone anyone can understand the warning. There are only a lot of good comments, but unfortunately I came here without being able to find them. This is very important information for customers. It's not just a matter of common sense to keep quiet. The most important bath was hot and I only had to soak for about 5 minutes each time, but it was very nice. However, at many hot spring inns, you don't need to be that nervous and quiet.Based on my experience in choosing accommodations, I have concluded that it is important to carefully check the lowest reviews (1, 2, 3 stars).I'll have to stay the night even if I don't like it.

The hot springs flowing directly from the source were wonderful, and I tried to soak in them many times. Being able to drink coffee in the kitchen was a nice service. The room was comfortable, and despite being close to the bus terminal and Yubatake, it was quiet and relaxing. thank you.

If you just want to relax and enjoy the hot springs themselves, this inn is all you need and is a very comfortable stay.Good location, about 1-2 minutes walk from the bus terminalThe staff at the inn were friendly and the atmosphere was homely and stress-free.The system for private hot springs is also interesting, like putting a tag on the door of the changing room to let people know when someone is inside, and if someone is already there, you can put a tag on the back of that tag, and if the person who was originally there leaves, you can enter. .I feel like it would be better if the person who was originally in the room could notify the next person's room if possible. You have more freedom than a private room where you can decide the time, and since there are only a small number of rooms in the first place, it doesn't seem like your timings will overlap that much.As long as you are considerate of other guests, there is no limit to the number of times you can visit the hot springs. Just be careful about long baths. The hot springs themselves aren't extremely hot, but are relatively hot enough to soak in.There was a shower, body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and the shower head was big, which I personally liked. The two toilets are quite small, but they are clean so it doesn't bother me too much. There is no front desk, so you just press the chime in the room where the staff is.There is also a self-catering area and a paid washing machine, so it seems possible to stay for a long time.Amenities are generally available for a fee.

When I come to Kusatsu, I usually use large paid bathing facilities such as Otaki-no-Yu and Goza-no-Yu, but the hot water here was so good that I didn't go out this time. This is a self-service accommodation without meals. The building seems to have just been renovated in 2020, so everything inside the facility is clean and new. There is one bath for every 5 rooms, and guests can share their use. In front of the bathroom door, there is a place to hang a room name tag indicating that you are bathing, and the next person who wants to enter has a unique system where they hang their own room name tag below the current room name tag. When a person gets out of the bath, if there is a reservation for the next one, they will knock on the door to let them know that the bath is now available. Thanks to this, I was able to spend my time relaxing while waiting for a free bath. The bath is a cypress bath sourced from the Yubatake source and is clean. When I took a bath several times, the water temperature was around 42-43 degrees. It was a good seasoning that was not too hot but warmed the body. The bathtub has a wooden round rod that is perfect for resting your head. If you rest your head here and relax, you will feel weightless. It is possible to float your body in Kusatsu's hot springs. You can feel the daily fatigue melting away.(I would like other hot spring facilities to imitate this and adopt it.)I almost didn't leave the room because it was so comfortable, but the inn is close to the bus terminal and Yubatake, so I think it's the perfect location to enjoy Kusatsu.I was very satisfied with it, but there are some things to be aware of.・I can hear people talking in the next room. I don't think it's suitable for people who want to have fun with friends.-The washing machine and communal kitchen are only available for use for a short time (until about 6pm, I think). Especially when it comes to laundry, you have to use it immediately after checking in.If you can understand these two points, I think it is a very good accommodation. I will consider using it next time.
