I stayed here for 2 nights with my brother, and we absolutely loved it. The environment is breathtaking and the house itself is adorable, but the best part about this accommodation is the host. She's so extremely helpful and kind-hearted. The lady took her time to explain everything, drove us to the station and even did our laundry. We'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The owner was very kind and attentive to our needs. The washing machine was acting up so she offered to handle all of our laundry herself the day after we arrived.  …

This accomodation and its lovely owner were the best of our trip to Japan. The house is a lovely, traditional japanese one with a great bath, confortable futon style beds and all the quiet you can ask for. The owner brought us fresh fruits, bread, juice and coffee to have breakfast each day, and she also provided children-friendly glasses and forks. The location is great and it is very affordable.

Yoshiko-san is an amazing host! My husband and I loved our stay at the Nikko Cottage. Yoshiko-san was so kind to pick us up at the Tobu Nikko station. She's a local, so she knew all the great spots and would even give us tips about the weather (some days the winds get big and scary) and how to plan our sight seeing in Nikko.Location wise, this location is about five minutes away from Kanmangafuchi Abyss. It is about a ten minute walk to the Tobu bus line which can take you to Kegon Falls. You can also walk to the Shinkyo Bridge and the It takes about 17 minutes but it is such a beautiful walk and totally worth it.

The owner was very nice; she took our luggage to the hotel from the station for free and even preheated the rooms + our futons. Furthermore, she knows all the good places. Great view as well. Highly recommended 👌(fyi - VERY high internet speed)

We had a great time in Yoshikos guest house. It’s in a great location, cause the main temples are in a walking distance of 15 minutes. The house is clean and tidy and clean. It’s very authentic and the details in there are very nice. Yoshiko picked us up from the train station and was very helpful with planning our day. The also was helping us with the train and temple tickets. She even left some bred and fruit for breakfast in the cabin. This accommodation is highly recommended! We would love to come back! Thanks for everything!

Typical Japanese house with sleeping on futon in tatami room, perfect ofuro and shower, very practical kitchen and washing machine.Very close to a bus stop, the Nikko temples, the Kanmangafuchi abyss and the Tamozawa imperial house. However, the most extraordinary thing was Yoshiko's welcome. She came to pick us up at the station, took us there when we left... but also on the 2nd day to facilitate our excursion to the Nikko National Park. She took time to recommend itineraries and order of visits and means of transportation. She is very dynamic, friendly and welcoming. His information was relevant and up to date (bus timetables and prices). She even took care of our laundry (for free) even though I had only asked if I could use the washing machine. We found our clothes dry and folded on our return.Every day, Yoshiko refills the fridge with food for the next breakfast. Ripe fruit, yogurt, rolls...I highly recommend this host.
