Yorinde-san and I think this was the best experience during our travel in Japan. Izumi is a great and hospitable host. The Japanese breakfast was delicious. It’s great to be in a quiet environment in which you happen to spot groups of wild deer from time to time. A daily walk to the centre of Nikko is also very comfortable and do-able. If you don’t feel like walking or the weather those not allows you to do so, Izumi is there to give you a drive.

B&B Izumi is a truly magical place to stay in Nikko! It is located beautifully and quietly in the forest next to a small creek. The rooms are traditionally furnitured, the futon beds are so comfortable and you even have your own private terrace to enjoy a tea in the morning or a cold drink in the evening with a stunning view. It was the perfect place for us to relax and escape the busy citylife after our visit to Tokyo! :) But the best about this accomodation is its fantastic host: Izumi San is so welcoming, friendly and hospitable and has a lot of great tips and recommandations for trips and restaurants in the area! He even picked us up and drove us back to the train station, plus offered us rides to the city during our stay. We have never had such a kind and generous host before! However, you can perfectly reach the city center by bus or by foot from the B&B if you don’t mind a short walk. :) Another highlight of our stay was the incredible japanese breakfast that is freshly prepared by the host every morning. My request for a vegetarian breakfast was no problem for him. He carefully picked out a lot of local vegetables and prepared them on point, so you could enjoy their unique flavours! It was the best food we had so far in Japan! We recommend this accomodation to everyone who would like to stay at a calm and relaxing surrounding, have an authentic japanese experience and get in touch with a great local host! Thank you for everything!

What a wonderful place to stay. Mr Izumi was a very kind host and clearly loved running this B&B. The traditional Japanese room was very spacious and had everything that you needed. We stayed for two wonderful days here. We would highly recommend staying here in Nikko
