Only 1 min walk from Yubakake. The room we booked is spacious with private bath which requires a key for access. However we enjoy the common bath which opens 24 hours. The Hostess is very friendly and the breakfast and dinner are splendid. Pls have small lunch or no lunch if you book for the dinner :-) will recommend to every foreign tourists who wanted a Ryokan experience.

Very nice hotel/ryokan and very friendly staff. For breakfast and dinner a variety of local food is served that was very satisfying and tasty.Communication in English is possible, though I am regretting not having at least a basic grasp of the Japanese language, but modern technology helps - in that regard:Thank you very much - very kind and a very interesting experience

It's a long-established inn, the food is good, and best of all, it comes with a private bath (24 hours), and the hot spring ingredients are the same as the public bath!

My mother and I stayed for one night with breakfast included.I was lucky enough to see the Yubatake field in my room on the 3rd floor. The room was small and not luxurious, but it was very clean and I was able to sleep comfortably. When we returned to the hotel after eating out for dinner, Nakai-san told us that the public bath was empty since everyone was having dinner, so we were able to take a relaxing soak together. There is a private bath in each room, but I would like to enjoy the large public bath as well. When I made the reservation, I told them that I was going with my elderly mother, so they prepared a private bath for us near our room.I come to Kusatsu Onsen every year for my mother's birthday, and I think the receptionist and Mr. Nakai deserve to be treated well.If you can stay comfortably at this price, I would like to stay with you again.Just because it's expensive and popular doesn't mean it's good.

I stayed with my family. Although it does not have excessive services, it is a ryokan that is attentive and considerate to its guests, who are always at home. Dinner and breakfast were just what we needed and were delicious with gentle seasoning. The Joshu beef, salt-grilled sweetfish, and vegetable tempura were delicious. Although the building has a historical feel, it is well maintained and the rooms are kept very clean. The quality of the spring water in the private baths and public baths assigned to guests is of the highest quality. The many pressed flowers displayed inside the hotel are made by the inn's proprietress and are all worth seeing. The large azalea at the entrance is a sight to behold when it blooms.I personally like azaleas, so I was glad that I was able to stay there just in time before the flowers fell. I think this is a valuable accommodation and I will stay there again.
