I visited during Golden Week in 2024.For dinner, a fish dish came out, so I thought it would be the main dish, but then a meat dish came out.The next morning we had a hearty breakfast as well. I'm very satisfied with the food.It seems to be specialized for infants and lower elementary school students, and there is a children's play room on the first floor, and the room is lined with picture books. There were also many picture books in the hallway on the second floor up the stairs. I love picture books, and I felt it was a great environment to read picture books aloud to children. There was also a free massage machine at the back of the second floor, which I used in the morning and evening. It's a wonderful inn.

We stayed with 4 people, a couple + 1 year old and 3 year old. It's a big change since we have two boys. It was their first family trip and I was worried about causing trouble to other guests and the people staying at the hotel, but I think it was the best memory for them as it was their first accommodation in their lives. .On the way back, I heard from the owner that the building was ``old, only 20 years old...'' but I didn't have the slightest impression that it was ``old''; in fact, I felt ``warmth.'' This may be because every corner was thoroughly cleaned, and the owner's thoughtfulness and personality could be felt by the toys, paintings, and picture books and novels and magazines placed here and there.Reservations are required for the family bath (including an open-air bath) using a white board, but the water is filled without using chlorine so that it is safe for infants and young children to enter. The hot water was at the right temperature, "This is it!", and even my sons, who usually don't want to take a bath even when they go to a super public bath, kept exclaiming, "It's fun!" along with the toys provided in the bath. .I think my two boys could spend a few hours there at the "Picture House?" next to the kids' room and the pension (there were toys that would interest the kids, and it took a long time because we arrived right at dinner time). Although I couldn't spend time playing with it...) There were many toys that were mainly made of wood, and I was once again impressed with the quality of wood.I won't go into details since other people have written about it, but the food was delicious (and the red wine I received was also delicious...!!).Although I wish I had talked to the owner and his wife more, I felt a comfortable distance between them and I didn't leave them alone. If you are staying in Nikko with small children, I recommend Troll over Ritz Carlton. I was affected.

Our child wanted to see the starry sky in autumn, so we used this as a lodging during a trip to Nikko. This was my first time in Nikko and I had used a pension in Nasu, which was very nice.Since it is deep in the mountains, there are almost no street lights, so it was a perfect location to see the starry sky.The pension itself was clean and well-maintained, there was a bath for the whole family, and the food was very delicious using local ingredients. After the meal, I had a cup of black tea that was carefully brewed from tea leaves, which made me feel very relaxed (choice of coffee or black tea). The staff at the pension were very polite and listened to my concerns, so I was able to enjoy a stress-free night.I would like to use it again when I go to Nikko again.

One of the best places I have stayed in and very close to the main attractions of Nikko. The owners are very friendly and helpful, every time the dinner/breakfast are very tasty, the rooms are clean and nice, the bathtubs are in a great condition and (specially the one outside) are large enough for an entire family. And if you have kids, this place is just the best. They have a very nice room for them with lots of books and toys (a lot of wooden toys), they have a special menu for the kids and babies dinner and breakfast... And the owners are extremely kind to the kiddos :)*Have stayed here more than 5 times.Update: stayed here again after not coming for a while... And I have the pleasure to say that it is still a great place :)

I was a little confused about the location at first, but it turned out to be a very nice pension! It was my first time staying at a pension, and it was cool in the forest and the rooms were clean (^o^) I took my three children, ages 5, 4, and 6 months, and there were two kids' rooms, so I didn't get bored. I was playing without it♪The bath was reserved for the whole family, and there was a baby chair and toys, so the kids seemed to have a lot of fun. They even provide us with baby food (^^) It's my first trip at a pension that is very baby-friendly, with hot water provided to sterilize baby bottles.I think it's perfect for!

Stayed for one night with my 10 month old baby. The inside of the facility was very clean and I was able to play with my children safely. The separate open-air bath and playroom were wonderful spaces that soothed the stress of childcare. Baby food and adult meals are also available. I would like to visit again as my child grows.
