Set up the hill away from the town, it is next to the river - whose sounds are ever present. Our host was fantastic - really welcoming yet left us to ourselves, as needed. Would definitely recommend this to visitors to Nikko.

Super recommended👍Family friendly, with parking lot. Today the owner of the accommodation said that he could only pick up our group of guests. As soon as we came in, after introducing the equipment, the boss even washed a plate of grapes for us to eat. He was very kind and spoke English👍We are using the second floor. There are two public living rooms on the second floor, one of which has an electric heating table. It feels very special to experience the things in Chibi Maruko-chan for the first time. The second floor also has its own bunk room and toilet. kitchen. There is a washing machine next to the shower room on the first floor, and there are many wood products made by the boss himself. They are super exquisite and can be purchased.

Very helpful host! He solved a lot of issues for us. It was nice to stay so close to nature. 10 mins walk from the bus stop. Japanese style rooms plus bunk beds, all was good.

Our stay at Midorian was absolutely lovely! Our host was so kind and thoughtful. It’s an older house, but it had so much charm. We had everything we needed and the kotatsu (table with built in foot heater) was amazing. I want one in my own house! The guest house is walkable to the Imperial Villa memorial park (worth a visit!) and about 30 min to the temples at Nikko park.

Midorian was an ideal stay for us in Nikko. The house itself is a traditional Japanese-style home with tatami mats, futons (and bunk beds), and even a heated kotatsu. It was very well equipped with everything we could need, and we felt warm at night even in the near-freezing Nikko weather. The house is reachable from the nearest bus station via an ~18 min scenic walk. It’s close enough to some famous landmarks too like the Toshogu shrine and Rinnoji temple complex - about a 30 minute walk.Arai-san was also incredibly kind and friendly to us and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and asked for nothing in return. I can’t thank him enough. I would highly recommend staying here for a night or two to experience everything Nikko has to offer!

Lush greenery, clear skies, the murmuring of a river, and the ephemeral sounds of insects.I had the best time to heal my tired mind and body from everyday life. The inn also has a floor plan that reminds me of my parents' home in the countryside, with a new and clean unit bath and separate toilet. Also, I would like to enjoy a bonfire and cooking in that large garden.

During the coronavirus pandemic, I was looking for an inn that accommodates only one group per day to avoid crowding, and I found this inn. Although it is only for overnight stays, we were able to enjoy fireworks, watermelon splitting, barbecue, and playing in the river.I was very satisfied and had fond memories of my summer vacation. The owner was also very friendly and it was fun to talk to him about all sorts of things. It is rich in nature and has many different insects. There are no mosquitoes, but there are leeches. You will be bitten before you know it, so be careful if you are wearing short sleeves and short pants. It's cool at night even in the middle of summer, but it's better to have an air conditioner. Smoking is completely prohibited, so please smoke outside.
