Even though it's in Kumamoto city, it's next to Lake Etsu, so there's plenty of nature, and you could hear the birds chirping. You won't feel the hustle and bustle of the city. The bath is also made with medicinal herbs, which will soothe your mind and body. I also enjoyed my morning bath with different medicinal herbs. After taking a bath, I went for a walk and saw several water birds swimming around, almost forgetting that I was in the city.I only had breakfast, but it was a blissful moment as I was able to enjoy freshly cooked rice in a small clay pot. I was very impressed with the variety of dishes that were prepared. I would like to order dinner the next time I stay.

First of all, I don't think the scenery is good. The location is very odd.Customer service isn't bad.If you don't care about the view, it's okay to have a guest room...Regarding dinner...The taste is good, but I think the order of serving and speed of serving is quite slow.Compared to French restaurants I've seen in the past, the order of serving is messed up and the speed is quite negative.

This boutique Japanese style hotel only has 5 rooms and each with an individual bath area like indoor hot bath tub. It’s located very near to the city centre with a Japanese courtyard surrounding it. The room is clean and nicely maintained, equipped with necessities. The hotel provides two bathing herbs for use in both morning and evening.

A cozy hotel with friendly and attentive staff. We stayed for two nights with ryokan style breakfast in our room. Great service. Nice room and beautiful garden. It is located in a residential area with narrow alleys. Drive slowly and carefully.

Lovely !Hostess was extremely welcoming and we did not have much troubles communicating with her.The room we took was spatious, a private spatious bath and wonderful view to the river. We recommend both breakfast and dinner, traditional Japanese meals, that you won't encounter everywhere. The location is quiet, not close to the center, but well deserved with public transport. We are looking forward going here again on our next trip to Kumamoto

I stayed here for one night with a friend from Yamaguchi. Even after all the research I had done, I was really excited even before I went because the atmosphere was overwhelmingly wonderful (^^) The rooms were very clean, the open-air baths in the rooms and the breakfast were great, and above all, the staff was really helpful. I had some warm and wonderful memories of my trip.I will definitely stay here again when I visit Kumamoto (^^) Thank you ︎❤︎︎

I had plans during the day, so I checked in around 8pm. I was confused about the parking lot for a moment, but it seems like I can park in the same spot as the restaurant next door. The room I stayed in had a different type of bath and room. (It seems that there are other places that are the same.)The facility as a whole is very clean. The inside of the room was 6 tatami mats and 2 rooms (living room and bedroom). The bathroom was simple, but they provided things to put in the bathtub. (Liquid from mugwort, then a bag of Chinese medicine) It's probably not a hot spring. The landlady will promptly explain things to you, and will also ask you about your preferred time for breakfast, etc. The food was very delicious. The water in the river next door was very clean. Although it was during Golden Week, I was able to see quite a few fireflies.I thought it was a good place.
