We spent two nights in the Delux King Twin room and it was one of our best stays in Japan. The rooms looked like they had recently been refurbished, and so were modern and clean in appearance. The room was large, and the beds were comfortableThe location was great, walking distance to the Castle and shops. There were also some great restaurants around. I also loved the complimentary parking on-site.I definitely recommend Kumamoto Hotel Castle.

I have no experience staying overnight. Used for restaurants and banquets. All Japanese, Western, and Chinese food is delicious. In particular, Chinese food (Sichuan) feels like the headquarters of Kumamoto Chinese food.

Avoid! Wifi doesn’t work. If your company laptop’s security is strong, you can not work at this hotel using their wifi. Rooms are quite aged but the location is good. I will not stay here again. It was a disappointing stay. I couldn't connect to Wi-Fi, so when I called the front desk, they offered me a LAN cable, leaving me speechless. I had no choice but to try tethering with docomo, but even the cell phone signal was weak. The rooms are old, the refrigerator doesn't cool, and the hotel can't even call a taxi. However, the hotel is old and the customers are mostly elderly.I think an APA hotel would be better.

It was a good hotel and the employees were kind, but it depends on your physical condition and who you go with.
