Although reviews may vary, the view of Aso Gozan was truly amazing and I had a comfortable stay.

It feels like an old-fashioned hotel in an old building. There is a gymnasium where children can play, but the facilities and equipment are in disrepair and are leaking in several places. We had a large room in room 607, and it was comfortable, but it was a problem to have only three outlets for a large group. The main dish, Akaushi, is the main dish, and although the menu is buffet-style, the buffet menu is standard. There weren't many items, but the only thing I thought was delicious was the soft-serve ice cream, and the milk tasted weak, like modified milk rather than Aso's delicious milk (unadjusted). (Personal impression)The night view from the open-air bath is beautiful, but it's a bit disappointing that there's only one.

I think this facility was probably built during the bubble period. You can feel the oldness in many places, but if you start talking about the details, there's no end to it. I was able to enjoy a delicious dinner at a very low price, so I understand that it's a trade-off.In the open-air bath, I was able to relax while looking up at the starry sky at night and the beautiful Aso scenery in the morning.Free Wi-Fi (Kumamoto Free Wi-Fi) is available, but the connection was not stable. The situation may differ depending on the room (I used the one on the first floor). If you want a stylish and clean room or special food, we do not recommend this facility. It would be better to pay a certain amount of money and use a different facility. This facility is designed for people who simply want to enjoy an extraordinary experience, rather than looking for something special, such as ``enjoying a leisurely meal at a low price and taking a bath with a beautiful view.'' I think it's very good for people.(2024.10)

Located on a quiet mountainside, you can see the mountains of Aso right in front of you.If the weather is nice, it is also perfect for astronomical observation. It is said that you can enjoy the starry sky from the open-air bath.Unfortunately it was cloudy so I couldn't enjoy the starry sky, but I was able to see the sunrise and the mountains of Aso.

The building may be old, but the hot water and scenery are good, but the cleaning of the door and open-air bath...

I sometimes stop by to use the hot springs. This is the last Sunday in September. It was still hot down there, but a pleasant breeze was blowing. The drop-in bath costs 600 yen. I paid at the front desk and moved to the lower floor. There aren't that many customers, so you can enter quietly and slowly. The view from the open-air bath is amazing. It's also nice to relax after taking a bath.

Old style decorative hotel with large parking space. Buffet dinner and breakfast are limited choices. The view of outdoor onsen is wonderful.

Stayed with family including children. Although the hotel is old overall, the Japanese-Western room we stayed in had been renovated and was spacious and comfortable. The red beef sukiyaki is enough to fill you up. The children were very happy with the outdoor athletics. It's very spacious though. It was well maintained. I was surprised to see wild monkeys from a distance. The panorama of Aso was very beautiful.
