It was my first time to stay in a guesthouse where the food and accommodation were so poor. This is something I don't want to give even one star.First of all, whether it's Echizen crab, Matsuba crab, or any kind of crab, the quality of the food at a guesthouse that costs ¥25,000 per person for a full course of snow crab is highly unlikely. Just because you say it's a guesthouse, you know that it's dirty and old, and that's why the best part of a guesthouse is that they put a lot of effort into the cooking, so what exactly does this guesthouse put its effort into? I can't find anything good about it.I went there during the peak of Echizen crab season, and the grilled crab was served cold and had been grilled in the kitchen, with charred and sticky crabs, and I'm sure it was frozen. Even frozen food is of poor quality. It was worse than the cheap frozen crab I had bought online before. What's more, the miso was overcooked and crunchy around the edges, and of course it was cold, and there was only one for two people. The sashimi is small, the flowers are not open, and it is poor quality. Even if the crab is boiled, it is not made to be easy to eat, and it is served as is, making it difficult to eat. I didn't have high expectations for the breakfast, but the miso soup was actually crab soup, which I thought was sweet. Just tofu miso soup. Is this really right in front of the sea in Fukui Prefecture? I doubted myself. I can only say that I am disappointed. ¥50,000 for two people was a very expensive purchase for that quality of food. Honestly, even the ¥10,000 course at "Kani Doraku" in my hometown, which doesn't have a beach, is a little better.Perhaps it was my fault in noting that it was my first time eating Echizen crab when I made the reservation, but the crab dish was so poor that it was completely incomparable to the food I received at guesthouses such as Kasumi in Hyogo. I found it on Jalan and made a reservation, but then I found this guesthouse's website and it was ¥1000 cheaper, so I canceled Jalan and made a new reservation from there. If it was a site where you can still write reviews, I might have found a better place, but I really feel like I've been scammed. I learned a lot. Please be careful when making reservations.I know that Echizen crab is said to be the king of crabs, but if the course menu served at this guesthouse is the standard of Fukui Mikuni, Kasumi's Matsuba crab definitely wins. Even though I feel far away, I will never come to Fukui to eat crab again. Hyogo is enough.Because of their age and appearance, they probably thought it was a reservation for two young people who didn't know the taste. It was a sweet thing to see. Maybe that's why they were forced to eat inferior crabs at the guesthouse here. My parents have been feeding me good food since I was little, so I have a very good palate. I don't want people to judge me based on my appearance or age.It was so bad that I became interested in other guesthouses, so I stopped by on my way home and asked for pamphlets about the food and prices. I didn't see the actual dish, but it looked like a normal course meal on the pamphlet. Well, actually, you won't know until you see the dishes lined up.My husband and I went on a late New Year's holiday trip, thinking we would be able to eat a full course of wonderful crab dishes, but we are very disappointed.I'll give you the study fee of ¥54,000 (tax included) to a shitty guesthouse lol lol
