Delicious, friendly staff, great menu, English ok, perfect! Spent a night at the campsite next to them and was so cool watching the sea eagles flying around too! Bar, terrace, picnic tables etc were exactly what I needed to relax - the beach is so scenic! Highly recommended and I will return! Thanks for the great time! Was having such a great time I forgot to pay until the last minute walking out the door and they kindly reminded me haha love that place! Thanks guys!

Very cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff, wonderful food, fair prices!! The salmon salad with avocado is wonderful, I had pasta with seafood and it was perfect! I recommend it

The best guesthouse I've been to! ☀️💚 Just 10 steps and you can literally jump into the sea.I tried their burgers, and pancakes from their restaurant which were great 😋

I loved this place. My friends and I stayed at the hostel/Airbnb over the weekend. The space was very comfortable and beautiful. The staff were friendly and accommodating. And the breakfast was really good. They even made the breakfast vegan.We also came to the restaurant for lunch and dinner a few times. The hamburgers, onion rings, and cocktail drinks were really good. I really missed good onion rings. I also liked the banana chocolate shake. Worth eating/staying here. And would come back.My vegan friend had a harder time ordering from the restaurant, and there were a few vegetarian options. But a vegetarian/vegan burger option would be awesome. Because the burgers were really good and I wanted my friends to be able to enjoy them with me.

I’ve been solo travelling around Japan for 2 months now and my stay at Familiar was by far the highlight of my entire trip. I was one of the only tourists at the guest house, and was welcomed with open arms! First off, the guest house itself is very clean, I felt very safe, and it is located *directly* on the most beautiful beach! Second, I met SO many locals while hanging out at the bar which is directly behind to the guesthouse. And don’t worry, I never experienced any noise issues. The bar also has a half pipe and it was super fun meeting the skate boarders and watching them! I originally booked 1 night and kept extending my stay for close to a week! One day, I rented a bike and cycled 20 kilometres along the coast. The food and drinks at the bar are delicious! Mecha okini Shungo!! <3

Staff were really friendly, and helpful with information about the area. Ample parking available. The staff didn’t mind us leaving our vehicles there while using the beach.BTW: On the day we were there (August 7, 2020), all of the vending machines on the beach were switched off.🧐 Familia was the only place in the area to get any drinks, even water. They were generous with letting us drink their water during our beach trip, but they had no bottled water, so bring your own bottles if you intend to use the beach.

We stayed at the familiar guesthouse in early august 2019. I think we were the first foreign guests at the guesthouse!! :) our stay was absolutely fantastic. the rooms are spacious and air conditioned. bathrooms were always clean. the staff is very easy going and super friendly. during the day you can relax on the beach (which is literally 5m away) or hang out on the balcony overlooking the bay. the bar is really nice aswell with a lot of drinks to choose from. we loved the outdoor barbecue at night. we made lots of japanese friends! special mention to Yo, we love you man. ma ta ne!niels
