I used it on a business trip.Currently, it is run by volunteers from the local government, and there are no full-time staff members. It is best to let us know your check-in time in advance. We used a Japanese-style room out of 3 rooms. There is a TV and Wi-Fi works fine. There is a refrigerator/microwave/toaster oven in the bathroom for guest use.Although I didn't use it this time, you can use the washing machine (for a fee). The bath/toilet is shared, but it's not a problem as it's well maintained.New towels and toothbrushes are sold as a set for 100 yen, but I was able to use the towels provided in the bathroom for free. There are no places to eat nearby, so you'll need to buy some food at a supermarket or convenience store. There is a Family Mart within a 10 minute walk.

After having a delicious lunch, I visited "Tokura Cafe", which is also an old folk house cafe along Kasaoka Old Road. Previously, it was run by a ``local revitalization cooperation worker and his wife'', but it was temporarily closed and from January 2022, the operation has been switched to local volunteers. The old house, which is over 130 years old, has been beautifully renovated, creating a comfortable space while retaining the original atmosphere. We also have accommodations, and if you stay overnight without meals, it's as cheap as 2,500 yen per night! !Order a ``cake set,'' which will be quickly prepared by a local mother. It's cheap at 500 yen, including cake, yogurt, fruit, and a drink. .. .. I'm grateful for the Reiwa era (*^^*)A midsummer breeze blows in through the open windows. .. .. Natural breezes are more suitable for old houses that are over 100 years old than air conditioners.

It was reopened under new ownership in January 2020.My daughter and I stayed there for the pre-opening, and I think it was a great experience for her as we ate freshly baked pizza and ran around the hallways.Just a short drive away, there is a noodle factory and a sake brewery, so I think it's the perfect place to relax.

Isn't it ideal as an old folk house inn? The owner is kind and allows the customers to do as they please. Apparently it becomes an old folk house cafe on weekends. The only problem is that I don't know where it is. Think of it as a hideout and look for it.
