We went there on a hot summer holiday. Based on my experience of actually staying one night, I don't think I would use it again even if I made a mistake.I'm not the kind of person who criticizes others, and I've never written a review like this, but I had so many questions about this facility that I wanted it to be even a little better. Therefore, I decided to post a review even though I am not used to it.Below is the review. Please note that some expressions may be irrational and unsightly. We were so excited when we were planning to go glamping with old friends who hadn't gotten together in a while. But that didn't last long. As expected, it was before I left. Why do you think that is?I have not been able to get through to phone calls since I made a reservation for my stay. Even if you look at the homepage and try to ask something that you don't understand, there is no way to ask because the phone is not connected. Is there a refrigerator? Can I borrow knives and cutting boards? What type of stove is it listed as available for rent? How much charcoal will you prepare?Since we were thinking of buying our own ingredients, information about what kind of barbecue facilities the facility has is important. However, there is no way to know this. This will make you feel anxious and dampen your excitement.Cooler boxes, ice packs, knives, cutting boards, charcoal...We had no choice but to make all the preparations we could think of ourselves so that we wouldn't be in trouble in the event of an emergency. As a result, the amount of baggage increased significantly, congesting the inside of the car. This is a little off-topic, but all of it ended up being put to good use. I can never praise the selection of equipment at Granchette Okayama enough. Glamping is what we were looking for. That's just camping with pre-built tents. That price setting for camping is nothing short of a rip-off.Let's get back to the topic. We were worried that we couldn't get through on the phone on the way there, so when we arrived at the facility, we asked an employee why the phone wasn't working. Then what came back was``Our phone is currently out of order, so we are currently accepting questions on various SNS.''That's what it was.If so, I think it should be written on the official website. I wonder why they don't post the reason on the official website where the caller is supposed to check it. I don't think it's at the level of being unkind.Even if we make a concession and assume that it is our fault for not checking SNS, do we mean to dismiss those who do not use SNS?Even though their job is to provide a service, I can't feel their sincerity to make their customers happy and their ambition to let more people know about the greatness of their facilities.Unfortunately, I felt this lack of sincerity and ambition many times while using the facility. After checking in, we were given tickets to the hot spring facility that guests can use. One ticket per person. It's not 2 pieces... Of course, if you use one, you can only put it in either the evening or the morning. One of the reasons I chose Grandchette Okayama was that the hot spring facilities available were very attractive, so I was disappointed because I felt like my enjoyment was cut in half.By the way, the name of the hot spring facility is not listed on the official website. We got the information from other travel site pages. What if other sites have more information? Also, the ticket is for the bathing fee (800 yen for adults *price when using), so you will need to prepare your own towel or rent one from the hot spring facility for a fee. I also wanted an explanation. The hot springs were wonderful. However, this is the result of the hot springs working hard to create something good, so it is not included in the evaluation of Grandchette Okayama. After that, we had a barbecue, but there were a lot of questions I had.First, let's talk about the lights. I was given two lanterns at the reception, but these lanterns are freestanding and can only illuminate upwards. Although it can illuminate the side slightly, it is not suitable for checking the doneness of food on the grill.I encountered a situation where I couldn't see the meat even though it was a barbecue. Isn't it supposed to be a barbecue in the evening? But for that, they had flashing lights around the roof of the desk. In other words, does this mean that you are planning to have a barbecue at night, but you do not realize that there is not enough light? The problem can be solved simply by attaching a hook to the roof beam above the stove so that a lantern can be hung, and changing one of the two lanterns to one that can also illuminate the downward direction, so why not do that? Haven't you tried it yourself? I couldn't help but wonder about that.In the end, I placed my smartphone on a beam on the roof and had a barbecue while shining the light from it. It was annoying that I couldn't use my smartphone during that time.Next, let's talk about the roof. It's simply low. There were lights hanging on top of it, so I couldn't help but get in the way. I'm 165cm and felt that way, so I think people over that size would find it more of a nuisance. Tall people may hit their heads on the roof beams.I think you can understand this if you try it at least once or see it while the user is using it, but they may not be aware that it is there in that state.Next is the tent, which is set up on wooden pallets and has a structure that prevents moisture from accumulating. This and the softness of the mattress are almost the only points I appreciate. However, since it is a pallet, the boards and blank areas alternate, making it difficult to walk around.A particular problem was the entrance to the tent, which was also made of pallets, so naturally there were boards and blank spaces alternating, which made it extremely difficult not only when walking, but also when taking off and putting on shoes. In fact, it's just plain dangerous. If you lose your balance when putting on and taking off your shoes, it will be difficult to put your hands on your feet or take care of yourself, which can easily lead to injury. We almost fell down many times.I understand that the bottom of the tent is made of pallets to let moisture escape, but since there is nothing at the entrance, I don't think the environment will change even if a plywood board is installed. I was impressed by the fact that it was not done because it was a precaution that could be easily taken care of.It was also inconvenient that the office only had running water. Since there was water in the office, I thought there might be water near the tent as well. It's a hassle to have to go to the office to rinse out the rice bowls and cutting boards you used.To be clear, walking is not a chore for me.I felt that the problem was that it was difficult and dangerous to walk back and forth on roads that required careful walking. It would be nice if you could easily walk to the water, but the grounds are uneven and difficult to walk on, and the stumps and roots of cut trees are left untouched, so if you don't watch your step carefully, you'll fall. The stairs between the office and the tent were so tall and narrow that one had to be careful not only when climbing but also when descending. It's even more dangerous at night, and although there are solar-powered lights embedded in the ground, many of them aren't on, so you can't rely on them, and the lanterns you're lent to us can't really illuminate the downward direction, so it's still dangerous. It is impossible to play with dogs or play soccer on the ground in this condition. I'll get hurt.Speaking of dogs, the inside of the dog park was even more uneven. Dogs may be able to run well, but it will be difficult for humans. What's more, it's too small to be called a dog run.Even though the dogs at the facility are protected dogs, they are not trained. There were two dogs on the day we went, one was always running away and the other was always barking at the guests. The employees don't do anything with the two animals, they just leave them outside. There is a roof, though.Because the idea of connecting rescue dogs and people is a noble one, I can't help but be disappointed by this. Dogs are highly intelligent creatures, which is why humans who handle them require correct knowledge and behavior. If you want your dogs to be happy, you need to reconsider your current methods. However, dogs will not get used to people even if you let them out in front of guests. In addition,・The width of the entrance is too narrow. It is difficult to fit even in a 5-seater regular car. How many times do you plan on turning it around for 8 people?・There is no washlet in the toilet.・The rental toys are in tatters. There is no shortage of things that are lacking. And most of them are easy to notice and fix right away. If you leave it alone, you will understand how Grandchette Okayama operates as an accommodation facility. While using it, there were many times when I thought to myself, ``Even if I just made a few changes, the feel of the product would change completely.'' I want facility managers to reconsider how they can make their facilities better from the user's perspective.I apologize for the long post.
