We were originally in room #735 but had to ask to be moved as the noise level was unbearable. There were screeching noises from the tram, revving motor bikes, blaring music from an advertising screen across the road and building works in front of the station.Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked for our first of two nights but the staff were very good and let us moved to a different (and quiet room) for the second night. The layout of room #735 is also awkward whereas the 2nd room worked much better. The rooms overall feel a bit dated and basic and very surprised that they don’t have a safe.Breakfast was not the best but ok.Location is convenient to the station and Okayama and staff were nice.

Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience, the worst one during our trip. The rooms were dirty and smoky. The staff tried to fix the situation, thanks to them - they changed our first terrible room with a view of a dark wall to a better room, which was lighter. But it was still very dirty and smoky. And the room was not cheap at all! It's a pity that I have to write such a review.

Although the room is not the best in the Yamato Hotel series I have stayed in, the CP value is still high based on the room size, location and price.Location:It is a 3-minute walk from Okayama Station. You can also go directly to the station's underground passage. There is a bic camera downstairs for shopping, and there is a street tram stop below.Room size:We brought two large and two small luggages. The aisle space is not small and not cramped. The bathroom is standard and all supplies need to be taken near the check-in counter. There are a lot of rooms on each floor, but it's not noisy. There are also vending machines, washing machines and ice machines on each floor. The via inn I stayed at in Okayama before was a bit smaller.price:The price for a double room this time is about 17,500 yen, which is considered a mid-range price.During our stay this time, we met the enthusiastic Ms. Watanabe who helped us a lot and helped us confirm that our luggage was sent to the Kyoto hotel. Thank you very much🥹

The hotel is in a good location. You can walk from the first underground floor of the station in the direction of Momotaro Odori. You will encounter Bicamara. There is an elevator next to it that goes directly to the hotel on the fifth floor. The room is as expected. The bathroom is small and old, but not dirty. The breakfast is a bit boring. Using a table at a yakiniku restaurant open in the evening, each person chooses a main meal and then has a super small buffet bar with salad, miso soup, corn soup, bread, rice and drinks. There is no other source of protein other than the main meal. After eating, I felt very empty, and the space in the salad bar was so crowded that it was inconvenient to put things in and easily collided.
