I stayed in a deluxe twin for one night on a Saturday in late August. As soon as you exit the south exit of Kurashiki Station, you will see a building on your left, so if you walk in that direction along the pedestrian deck and arcade, you will be there in about 5 minutes without getting lost. It's not directly connected to the station, but it's close enough. It's a relatively new building, having only been open for about five years, and it seems to have a very sophisticated design and functionality. As I walked through the chic and modern entrance, I was greeted by smiling staff, and since I had made an online reservation, check-in was easy and smooth using the touch panel. There is a wine and local sake tasting corner next to the front desk (free for the first time, 100 yen from the second time), and the spacious lobby is a very stylish space with a billiards table. There is a faint aromatic scent and it feels very good. There is also a luggage storage corner with a wire lock, making it convenient for sightseeing before check-in or after check-out.There are two elevators, and you cannot press the floor number button unless you hold your room card.I had to carry a card with me when I went out, and since it was a twin card, I was issued two cards. The deluxe twin room we used this time was on the 10th floor. The hallway has a moody atmosphere with a low amount of light, and the room number plate with a tile-like design is vaguely glowing, making it very stylish. The inside of the room is deluxe, with a completely separate bath and toilet, a large sofa and two semi-double beds, and a large TV on the wall. There were power outlets everywhere, so there was no problem, and the charging cable was in a drawer. The bath is large and deep enough to satisfy even a 180cm person, and the water pressure in the shower is so strong that it hurts. It goes without saying that it's livable and comfortable, but the lighting, interior design, and accessories are all stylish and make you want to live there. The most important view from the 10th floor was a clutter of multi-tenant buildings and tower blocks, which gave it an indescribable feeling, but I guess this is typical of Kurashiki. This hotel has a lot more to offer, and when you go up to the 11th floor, you'll find a spacious view lounge and a large public bath that can accommodate about 20 people, both of which are free. The lounge has all-you-can-drink coffee and tea, and there's also a microwave, so it's nice to eat your lunch while admiring the view.By the way, the lounge will be used as a breakfast venue in the morning, so you can use the lounge from 3pm until night. The public bath is not actually a hot spring, but just hot water, but since it was reserved for most of the time when I went there, I was able to relax and refresh my mind and body. There are 6 washing areas, complete with body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, towels brought from your room, about 20 lockers, a mini sauna and cold bath that can fit 3 to 4 people, and a powder space with a hole in the middle of a Dyson. A high-quality hair dryer is installed and you can experience the overwhelming amount of air.Although I didn't use it, the service facilities are super complete, including a training machine room. This alone is an added value beyond the price. There are many convenience stores, restaurants, and drugstores nearby, so you won't have any problems. It was very hot that day, so I wandered around town in the evening, had dinner at a famous tonkatsu restaurant nearby, and then returned to the hotel around 8pm and decided to take the opportunity to play billiards for the first time in decades. This is also free, but you will need to fill out a pledge at the front desk, there is a time limit of up to one hour, and there is a caveat that children under elementary school age are not allowed to play.Of course, you'll get a lot of attention from people passing by in the lobby, so if you don't look good, you won't look cool, but it was a great memory of the trip. After taking a bath in the large public bath in the morning, I took a walk in the Bikan Historical Quarter, and on the way home I bought some food at Lawson near the hotel and ate it in my room.We relaxed until the very last minute and checked out just before 11am.Well, I had a wonderful and luxurious time. It's about a 10-minute walk from the Bikan Historical Quarter, and you can rent bicycles for 500 yen a day, so it's a highly recommended hotel that's perfect for sightseeing in Kurashiki.Dissatisfied points and future hopes■The TV in the room has lower performance than expected.Especially when using YouTube and the mirroring function, the screen freezes immediately, and when I thought the video had finally started playing, it kept freezing and I couldn't watch it at all.I deeply regret that I should have brought an HDMI cable or a fire stick if something like this happened. However, if it was only terrestrial broadcasting, there were no particular complaints, and it was nice to be able to see how crowded the facility was by using the remote control.■The quality of the toilet paper in the room was disappointing. It's so thin that even if you pull it slowly out of the holder, it will tear right off, which is really stressful and makes me feel bad.Although the interior of the Kakukan building has a high-grade atmosphere, this is not enough, and the accommodation fee is not cheap, so I wish they would have made a little more effort in that area.In fact, PB products from major discount stores are of much higher quality.■Perhaps because the sofa in the room also doubles as a bed, there were no armrests, making it difficult to relax and uncomfortable to sit on.On the other hand, the sofa in the lobby was nice.■It was good that the soundproofing was excellent and I didn't hear any noise from the next room, but on the other hand, I kept hearing a faint whirring noise every 5 seconds, whether it was from the refrigerator, the ventilation fan, or the air conditioner. I was worried and couldn't sleep much.Maybe I'm just nervous.■I had a lot more fun playing billiards than I expected, so in the future I think the range of fun will expand even further if we introduce things like darts, a ping pong table, and manga.■It would have been nice if there was a dispenser for carbonated drinks, juices, etc. for free drinks in the view lounge. It's currently a very nice hotel with a 5 star rating, but I hope that the level of satisfaction will further improve in the future.Thank you for your help.
