A few months ago, I used this inn's meeting meal plan (room: Yanagi) for a meeting between my two families before getting married. We checked in advance to see if it could be used for a face-to-face meeting, and at the meeting stage, they carefully communicated with us via email information such as the rooms that could be used on the day, the number of people, and the content of the course. We requested a start time of 12:30pm on the day, and we confirmed the reservation via email, stating that the room could only be used until 2:30pm.My parents' flight from a long distance was delayed on that day, and they didn't arrive until around 12:40, but when I informed the staff at the inn that I would be arriving late, they said, ``No problem, but the time for the room.'' will be available until 2pm.'' The end time was different from the end time that we had exchanged via email, so I showed the email to the person at the inn, but they said, ``I'm sorry, but I don't understand the status of the exchange.I have another reservation, so please wait until 2:00 p.m.'' ``This is the use of the hotel.'' I received a cold response, without any serious apologies, suggestions for moving rooms or extending the time, or any apologies.Even though it was an important event for both families to meet, I had to worry about the time and rush to eat, and I felt very sorry and sad for my in-laws and parents. The food looked beautiful and was delicious, but I couldn't get rid of the unsatisfying feeling, and it ended up leaving a bad aftertaste for me.I was really looking forward to it because I had read on their website that they value Kurashiki's ``spirit of hospitality,'' but I feel very disappointed.

Although it is considered a high-end inn, the food and service are nothing special. It's just expensive.

Thank you for your help☺️It's located in the Bikan Historical Quarter, and it was a nice place to start your day, allowing you to walk around without ruining the atmosphere. Right next to the entrance to Achi Shrine. It’s amazing that it has a history of 280 years! ️The bamboo decoration at the foot of the table? cover? Because it stands out, it becomes a landmark in an area where there are many similar buildings.I think it's difficult when your hometown becomes a tourist destination because there are various restrictions, but I'm glad that you can cherish the scenery and atmosphere 😌✨Although dinner was not served in the room, it was prepared in a private room. I'm grateful to be able to eat in peace in these times.Breakfast seems to be served by two families in the same room. The rice is delicious, so be careful not to eat too much.I was worried, but the "Mokuge" room also had a very modern and stylish bathroom. There seems to be no need to worry even if your feet are creaky. I would like to thank all the staff for their thoughtfulness and consideration. No room bath. There are two baths reserved as family baths. Reserve your time at check-in. The new one is ``Takano Maki'' in the back, and the wider one is ``Hinoki'' in the front. I went for a walk early in the morning, and I was so happy when someone said to me, ``It's already ready, so you can take a bath.''The default amenities are shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hair cap in the bath. Hand soap, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, hair caps, and razors are provided in the room. The shared toilet on the second floor is also spacious and clean. There is a sign in the room that says, ``If you need cosmetics, please let us know. We also have cosmetics for men.''★Notes before stayingI panicked when I noticed that the official website for the room I had reserved, ``Mokuge,'' said that the room did not have a toilet. Is there a toilet at Ikkyu? However, other reservation sites also listed rooms with ``shared toilets,'' so I was very panicked and called the inn, thinking this might be the case.Apparently there's a toilet.

Even though it was a kaiseki meal, there was no explanation of the food.I was very disappointed because the taste, appearance, and customer service of the food was expensive.

The ryokan has little atmosphere and, though our room was lovely with a small garden view, it felt in need of attention. Our main gripe was that it is poor value for money. …

I stayed here as a father and daughter on a trip. The room had a view of the courtyard, and I was able to enjoy Suikinkutsu in silence, which was very atmospheric. The landlady had a wonderful personality, and the waitress was also very polite. My father had never stayed in such a nice hotel before, and he seemed happy and said that it was a really good stay. When I inquired about several inns, I decided to stay at this inn because they were very polite over the phone. If I have a chance to go to Kurashiki again, I would like to stay here again. It was a very nice trip thanks to Yoshii Ryokan. thank you very much.
