You can take a day trip bath. The service is scheduled to start at 11:30, but there may be delays depending on the cleaning situation. When I went, you could take a bath around 11:50.The interior gives you a sense of history, so you can spend a relaxing time while waiting. For day trip bathing, there is a waterfall bath. There is one not-so-large bathtub, one hot spring source for hot water, and one hot water bath. The hot water was soothing to the body.

It's a wonderful hot spring, and I've been staying there and using it for day trips for almost 10 years. The hot water is plentiful and it feels good, and the building has an elegant atmosphere that I love. However, when I visited the other day, the entire building smelled extremely moldy, and I started to feel sick while I was there. My companion also said that the smell was so bad that he wanted to go home.According to the landlady, it was because it had been raining continuously. If the smell was going to be this bad, I would have liked to have taken some measures such as dehumidification or an air purifier. Also, the breezeway leading to the bath is very nice and elegant, but there is green mold on the windbreak of the breezeway.Overhead lamps collect dust and insects.Mold on the diatomaceous earth mat in the bathroom. The chair in the bath was black with mold. The back of the changing room was also pitch black with mold...There was so much mold all over the building that it made me feel sick...I felt like it wasn't cleaned or checked. The temperature of the hot water may not have been adjusted properly, but before, the water was hot and pleasant, but this time it was lukewarm and I felt cold in the water. Also, as others have written, the food was at a very disappointing level. It used to be nicer...Overall, I'm so disappointed that I don't think I'll go again. It's a really nice hot spring inn, and it was my favorite hot spring in Japan, so I'm really, really disappointed.

Even in Yonezawa, this inn is located in the mountains, so the location is perfect. |The cell phone signal was also good, which was unexpected. …

This inn has many charms such as a thatched building, a granite bathtub with a waterfall flowing through it, rooms with unique interiors, delicious meals with obanzai and a drink bar, and the signature cats Onden and Kagura. full. However, from here on I will write a bad review.I really liked the inn, so I was shocked, disappointed, and felt sad. After three years of collecting stamps from the Japan Secret Hot Springs Preservation Society, I finally had 10 stamps, so my companion and I decided to stay at the Nishiya Ryokan in Yamagata, which had the best impression on us, as an invitation.I called Nishiya Ryokan several times because I wanted to stay during the holidays when I could take some time off.The woman who appeared the first time explained that it was crowded that day.Me: The website and stamp book of the Japan Secret Hot Springs Preservation Society says that there are excluded days such as Obon and Golden Week, but does that mean that all consecutive holidays are excluded?Woman: That's not the case. However, I'm sorry to say that it was crowded on that day. We are open on ◯◯ day (the day before the holidays).Me: Understood. I'll think about it and call you again.I told them that and hung up, but at the time I was a little suspicious because I had looked at the Secret Hot Springs Protection Association's website and knew there were several rooms available. The next day, I called again, and this time a man answered, and I asked again if the day I wanted was available and if I could stay in the clear stream room. The room I was invited to stay in was the waterfall room and 10 tatami mats. We were told that we had guests who were invited to stay in both of the rooms and that they would not be able to stay on the day we wanted, so we had no choice but to make a reservation for a weekday, the day before a holiday.I didn't have a particularly bad impression of this man, but the day after I made the call, I looked at the website of the Japan Hidden Hot Springs Preservation Society, and found that on the day I had requested, they were using the site for invited guests. I found an empty space between the waterfalls.I thought he was being persistent when I called him over and over again, so I asked my companion to call him.Companion: I'd like to stay overnight on ◯◯ or ◯◯ as an invitation from the Japan Secret Hot Springs Preservation Society.Woman: Please wait while I confirm.Woman: (The phone was not put on hold) You said you were invited to stay in the middle of the holidays...Man: (I hear something being said, but I can't make it out)Woman: I don't have anyone to invite, but you can say so.Woman: Sorry to have kept you waiting. The two rooms for free invitations are now full.Companion: Understood. I'll think about it for a moment. The call was not on hold and my voice was all muffled, so I was surprised and hung up without saying anything. After about an hour, I felt calmer, so I asked my companion to call me again.Companion: I called you earlier and a female staff member answered my call...Man: Yes, that's right.Companion: The phone calls aren't on hold, I can hear all the calls between staff members, and they say they're inviting guests to stay in the middle of a long weekend... but no one is inviting them, but they say it's okay if they say so. I heard this, so I started to suspect that the room I was invited to was actually vacant.Man: Yes, yes. Due to various regulations, I cannot stay overnight on that day. There are two rooms for invited guests, but both are occupied. (After that, I was told why I couldn't make a reservation, but I couldn't quite understand it...)Companion: I previously heard that the guest accommodation would be in the waterfall room, etc., but does that mean there are no vacancies there?Man: There is no space between the waterfalls. Invited guests pay an additional fee to stay in the room of their choice.Companion: If you look at the website, the waterfall room is empty?Man: Eh, are you free? Is that how it is displayed?Companion: It has become.Man: (Only days you can stay) Are those the only days available?Companion: Ah, that's right.Man: Well, I'll check again on ◯ day, so please wait.Companion: Please.Man: I will reserve a room for you in ◯ days. Please leave the room to me. thank you very much. That's how I ended the conversation. The staff at the hotel kept saying different things every time, and I got the impression that they were lying and trying to prevent the invited guests from staying that night. When I told them that I would like to stay in Seiryu no Ma as an invited guest, I was told that they could only accommodate the Taki no Ma and a 10 tatami room. There was no explanation that you could stay anywhere else.Even if it is true that you have set up something like an invitation slot and it is filled, shouldn't there be a better way to say it?For example, ``We are accepting up to two groups of invited guests per day, and two groups have already made reservations for that day.Originally, we would like to invite you to stay in a waterfall room, etc., but there will be an additional charge. It is possible to prepare another room after payment, but since you will be invited to stay in a room other than the Taki no Ma, the Taki no Ma will be vacant on your desired date, but there are no slots available for you to stay as an invited guest. It would be nice if you could say, ``.It's a shame because we both thought hard and decided on Nishiya out of 10 accommodations, and we were really looking forward to staying there, and we were thinking of staying there regularly in the future.【postscript】When I first wrote this review, I was angry and sad, but the landlady responded immediately, and I am grateful that she was considerate of the memories of my past trips, and that she has thoroughly improved the awareness of her employees. I felt relieved when you told me that you could have it.We were sad because we felt that the invited guests were not seen as guests and were treated poorly. For us, an invited stay is more than just a free invitation ticket. It is an important item that allows you to steadily collect stamps, decide on an inn to stay at while immersing yourself in fond memories of the inn you stayed at, and remember the nostalgic feeling of returning to your hometown when you visit again. That's why I felt disappointed that my memories had been trampled upon and that one of my favorite accommodations was gone.I hope we can make good memories again.

A hot spring with an amazing amount of hot water.A granite bathtub from the Edo period, the main house is over 200 years old. An inn that gives you a sense of the times.Although it is not suitable for those looking for a comfortable inn, it was comfortable enough for me.postscript. A day trip bath after climbing a mountain. Day trips are from 12:00 to 2:00. I arrived a little after 2 o'clock, just as I turned over the day trip bath sign. When I asked her, she said it was okay.Bathing fee is 700 yen. 500 yen for Montbell members. It was reserved.
