A great campsite at high elevation for hot days. It will be cool up here! Very rustic, but still extremely clean facilities. Super private, you will have the forest to yourself. It was nice to have wooden tent pads as well. It can get windy at night, so be prepared. Within walking distance to the visitor center and crater. A really unique spot.

A long time ago, I was walking my dog and came across this place. It gives the impression that a campsite was forced through a wooden path through a lot of wetlands. [If we are going to destroy national parks and build something like this, why not also build geothermal power generation facilities in national parks? ]I thought it was the remains of a campsite because there was no one there and the equipment was broken and looked deserted. ...Is it managed...?If you are using the facility, please be careful of bears as there are many bamboo thickets.

You can choose your site from deck, grass, or soil in order of arrival. There is no auto camping, but depending on the site, parking lots are relatively close. The only facilities are clean flush toilets and a covered kitchen with a stove. It is also possible to have dinner at the nearby Azuma Kosha, so please ask at the reception. Please note that check-in is after 3pm, so even if you arrive earlier, you will not be able to enter. You can eat at the nearby Joudodaira drive-in, so it might be a good idea to eat slowly and go around Azuma Kofuji.

I used it in August. It was hot and humid at over 30 degrees in the lower part of the world, but even after setting up the tent, I was comfortable and didn't sweat. However, it got chilly at night, so I think it would be better to bring something to wear.Firewood was not sold locally, so if you wish to use the kitchen you will need to provide your own.The toilets had their own facilities, so I was able to use them with peace of mind, unlike in temporary facilities. Some of the paths are wooden paths, so you may need to be careful where you step.Regarding the use of the bonfire stand, it started raining that day, so we couldn't use it in the first place, but since there was a statement that campfires were prohibited, I think we couldn't use it. It was difficult to carry food from the kitchen, so I thought it would be a good idea to prepare a burner.Since there is almost no radio waves locally, we recommend that you complete your internet searches and other information gathering in advance.I think it's a good place for campers who like to feel nature.

A campsite along the Bandai Azuma SkylineThere is a toilet (clean)There is a kitchenNo shower/bath (there is a hot spring town 20 minutes away by car)No shop, 30 minutes to the nearest supermarketTo the extent that I can't make au radio calls. The site has about 20 wooden decks measuring 4 meters square so you can keep your distance from other people. It was a 5 minute walk to Jododaira.

The manager's bad attitude made me feel bad, so I was scared because the bamboo grass rustled and the beasts came out.

The approach to the tent site is partially damaged, but is in good condition. It is suitable for those who enjoy blending into nature rather than camping. It's pitch black except for the toilet and kitchen area. You can observe astronomical objects in the parking lot across the street.

It's a wild campground in many ways. There are fallen trees on the road, and everything except the wooden deck gets muddy after rain.I thought there wouldn't be many insects because of the high altitude, but there are quite a lot of them.A huge moth was flying around between the tent fly and the inner tent. lolI think it's good for people who are okay with such an environment, including those accompanying them.
