The food is amazing. Japanese cuisine with a sense of seasonality and creativity backed by carefully prepared soup stock. When you warm the local sake Yamahai, you can enjoy the harmony with the dashi stock. The scent of sulfur that fills the inn is reminiscent of a secret hot spring, but the rooms are wonderfully clean. I was confused by the fact that there were only two lanterns in the women's bath, but it's also common for travelers to give in to each other.
