27 years ago at Hakuunso, when Yamagata Kotsu was the parent company, I worked for 5 years on bathing, boilers, employee transportation, driving snowplows, setting up snow fences and removing them in spring, washing dishes after meals, and camping at forest school in the summer. I did a lot of work such as starting a fire and chopping wood, preparing meals for the children to cook, and mowing the grass, but the hardest part was working in the parking lot on New Year's Eve and having to shovel snow off the front door. The location of this hotel is quite nice, but there is no elevator. I didn't want to complain to the people at the Keirokai, but they lent me free passes to all the ski resorts around me, so it was fun 😆

Saturday, July 9, 2022I stayed there because I was told that I could canoe within the hotel. There was a little trouble at check-in, but they took care of it perfectly and I enjoyed early morning cycling and canoeing, and it was free and the accommodation was cheap, so I think it's a good option if you want to enjoy activities in Urabandai.

The rooms are large. There was a space of about 4 tatami mats at the entrance for storing shoes and luggage, and there was also a refrigerator. Next to that was a large guest room, and next to that was a large wash basin and toilet.
