I visited them for Botan Nabe in winter, and recently for Hamo Kaiseki in summer. The food was very delicious, and the head chef's passion for making the food delicious was evident. thank you. It's amazing! It was truly a work of art.In addition, the hospitality and thoughtfulness of all the staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. That's good, Chikamata-san. It calms me down. The soft atmosphere makes you want to go again and again. When you open the front door, you will be greeted by a cute stuffed boar. In winter, he wears a Santa Claus costume. cute.(Mr. Chikamata's Botan Hot Pot is exquisite! When you think of wild boar meat, you may think of it as having a strong animal smell and being difficult to get into, but it is actually light and odorless, and combines the best of both beef and pork. I ate it all in one go without feeling heavy in my stomach. It would be a waste if I didn't eat it. It's really delicious.)

Chikamata's button hotpot is absolutely delicious. The sweet and peppery dashi soup will keep you satisfied until the end.The meat was also tender. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, but I feel like the atmosphere would be better if they were left in the style of an old folk house.

This is my first time in Tamba Sasayama, and I found this place when I searched for it? I made a reservation to experience 400 years of history.Although the restaurant is small, it has a nice view of the well-designed garden, and it seems that consideration has been given to allocating dining rooms to avoid running into other customers as much as possible. It was my first time having Botan Nabe, and it was delicious. It was the simplest Botan nabe course, but each dish was so beautiful and delicious that I can't even explain the taste very well. All of the ingredients were good and the seasoning was well-defined, so I literally enjoyed it while comparing the local sakes. I was so happy ✨Breakfast was also delicious. What impressed me was that all the people serving customers were young, many in their 20s and 30s, and they were polite but not formal, and they served us in a timely manner while we were talking. It was wonderful to see that they took pride in their work.I was satisfied with everything about the building, the food, and the customer service. I think it will continue to prosper, and I definitely want to come again!

The most delicious Botan nabe I've ever eaten. Appetizers and desserts also have delicate flavors. The pickles were delicious. The vegetables are fresh. The staff at the store were very responsive and I was satisfied. Grilled with salt is exquisite.

This is my second time in Tanba Sasayama, but it was my first time staying overnight, and I went to Chikamata for the delicious Botanabe. The room had a great atmosphere, and even though all the staff were young, we had fun chatting with them and had a great time. The spring peony hotpot also had no taste at all, and was simply delicious, with the delicious wild boar meat and the richly flavored wild herbs that the chef had picked himself going perfectly together.(My stomach was so full that I left a lot of rice porridge at the end)This is an onjuku that I would like to visit again in a different season.

Solitary Gourmet featured Sasayama's button hotpot, and I really wanted to try it.So, in the late fall of last year, I took a road trip from Kanagawa, visited the long-established restaurant Chikamata, and enjoyed Botanabe. As expected, it was delicious and I was very satisfied. At the end, drop the egg into the soup that blends the flavor of the button meat, and top it with rice, which is the best.I wish it was closer.
