This was a very nice place to stay. I really appreciated the host’s willingness to work with across the language barrier. The breakfast was really good as well. My only complaint was the pillow, which I believe is historically accurate- is terrible.

Our room was very clean and had a great view. Although there were some minor inconveniences due to the age of the building, the old charm and authenticity of the building made me not worry about the small details.

Beautiful gardens, amazing dinner, friendly and friendly service. Very pleasant experience. The building is full of nostalgia, and the retro floor tiles leading to the large bath are so beautiful that you will faint on the spot. With the courtyard next to it, you can sit and stare (take photos) all afternoon.Booked a stay and two meals. The ingredients are so fresh that you doubt your life. 😂⭐️I have never eaten clams that have no fishy smell at all, they are super delicious. It was caught by fishermen in the local sea.⭐️Tiger fish (おこぜ) meat is super elastic and very fresh.⭐️The quality of sashimi is very high. I didn’t know that anaya (nako) could be so delicious. Q elastic texture and you can taste its own flavor⭐️The octopus sashimi I have eaten in my life is usually bitten repeatedly and swallowed directly in the end. Today's octopus also subverted my previous impression. It has a crispy texture and is not fishy at all.⭐️100% no added sea urchin (ウニ), light milky and sweet taste. The seafood cuisine is really of a very high standard❤️⭐️The beef sukiyaki sauce is too salty and sweet to eat. Fortunately, the beef melts in your mouth.⭐️I originally thought it was chawanmushi, but it turned out to be tofu, super dense, which was also unexpected.⭐️The braised beef tendon is neither dry nor woody and is very tender.Although the house is not newly decorated, as soon as you enter the hotel, you can feel that the hotel is thoughtful and very clean. It is very convenient to have a washing machine (with materials 200/time)After visiting it myself, I finally understand why people rate it so highly. Although it is not cheap in terms of price, it is well worth the money❤️

This is the inn where Kazuo and Kazumi ran away from home and stayed in the movie "Transfer Student." If you're a big fan of that movie, it's a sacred place in a sense.

The room was exactly what I was expecting and the view was incredible! The staff were very hospitable. They took us by car to the closest bus stop and gifted us an umbrella because it was raining. They let my wife and I use the men's bath together since there weren't many other men guests when we stayed, so it was like having a private bath. Finally, breakfast was a great experience and everything was so delicious. The garden is also incredibly beautiful and rich.Overall, it's one of those places that I'll remember for a long time.
