This is a true hidden gem! The guesthouse is hidden away in a cute little town with many friendly obaachan. The facility has everything you need and offers a great starting point for many adventures out in nature. The room was comfortable, clean and quite large for Japanese standards. The futons probably gave us the best sleep we’ve had on our trip so far, be careful not to oversleep! The guesthouse is a great place to relax but also to socialize with other guests. Last but not least, the hosts are super friendly, offer a lot of information and made us feel super welcome. Would definitely stay here again!

Great design and comfort with excellent amenities. Kito is such a beautiful village nestled in the mountains, where many traditions are kept alive. It is definitely worth the trip, even just for the Yuzu vinegar sushi freshly made by the convenience store owner nearby.

Beautifull recently renovated hostel run by friendly and wonderful Alrik. The hostel is well designed. It feels comfy/homy and has soul. The equipment is new and quallity one. Starting with comfy beds, well equiped kitchen and bathtub that fills itsself automatically. It is situalted in the middle of beatiful nature. The village has few few small grocery shops and one good restaurant that is just around the corne. Perfect spot for nature lovers who like calm place. Just be aware that you need some transaportation to get to the highlights of Skikoku (1+ hour)Alrik has great English and solid Japenesse. It was easy to communicate with him over email. He helped me a lot. Thanks you, Alrik for wonderfull stay. I will come back next time I am in Japan. I owe you a rematch :D

Used in late October. It's the best.Cheap and clean.I arrived late at night due to a problem with my bike, but they took good care of me.Since we don't have a landline phone, we have to communicate online, so I informed the lady at Tachibana Shokudo next door that I would be late. Thank you very much. The yuzu sushi at Tachibana Shokudo is also great. Delivery is also possible.

There is no better way to enjoy autumn foliage colors (koyo), than to spend a weekend visiting Kito. This breathtakingly beautiful area is often referred to as The Tibet of Shikoku, and we found here such a wonderful place to stay! …
