The first time I traveled with my husband, and the second time I traveled with my parents. This is a truly wonderful inn, with an elegant atmosphere in everything from the exterior, the rooms, the indoor baths, and the tatami room by the hearth!Unfortunately, this holiday was fully booked and I couldn't make a reservation, so I gave up.I want to eat a delicious meal around the hearth again!I'll plan early next time!

It was a one-night, two-day trip planned for Chichibu Meisen. On the first day, we took a walk around Chichibu and stayed at Irori no Yado Ojikaso.Less than 30 minutes by car from Seibu Chichibu Station.Although the transportation is not the best, it had a nice secluded feel. The inside of the hotel seemed to have been renovated and was very clean. The staff at the inn were all very kind, and since we had booked a meal plan to sit by the hearth, we were able to eat hot rockfish and hot pot, and it was a Kaiseki meal, so each dish was delicious and served with local ingredients and dishes. It was.According to the host, it snows and freezes in the middle of winter, so if you're coming by car, it might be difficult to wear something like a stud dress. It seems like there will be quite a bit of traffic during the fall foliage season and the Chichibu Night Festival.Since it was early October, it was the busiest time, so we were able to relax without any traffic jams.I wanted to go to Hisumi Orimono's factory because I wanted Chichibu Meisen cloth, but since I hadn't called in advance, my plans didn't work out, so I was able to purchase it at the Chichibu Furusatokan store.Next time, I would like to contact them properly before visiting the factory.

First of all, you can look at the appearance. The good old things are still intact inside the hotel, giving it a nostalgic atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and attentive. You can enjoy the calm atmosphere of a mountain village.

My family and I stayed in a room with a semi-open-air bath. During my stay, the staff was courteous and nice.I'm sensitive to smells in guest rooms, but I didn't have any such issues and had a comfortable stay. The hearth cuisine is simple yet extraordinary, and the taste is great. Breakfast was also very good.

The location is not good, there is nothing around, there are only a few houses, and it is not a beautiful (secret) place, not at all.The price is super expensive and the service is super bad, even worse if you are a foreigner (not Japanese). The service areas that treat locals and foreigners are completely different. For this price and this service, I really won’t do it again and I don’t recommend it.The dinner was not delicious (it didn't match the description), it was generally terrible, and even an ordinary izakaya tasted better than him. After paying, I ordered the irori-yaki, but they were not given the irori-yaki. The clerk said that I had to make a special statement to the staff to see if I could play the women's volleyball team. So what's the point of charging an exorbitant price? Never seen such service. The only thing that's OK is that the room has been renovated. If you just want to stay in the room for one night at this price, it's not worth it.In conclusion, there are many beautiful hotels in Japan with good service and not too expensive, but this one really has the worst service I have ever seen. (I really don’t recommend it)

This is a very quaint inn, located in a quiet area with no notable facilities around. The atmosphere was very nice and the hot springs were very relaxing. I was surprised at how large the dinner portion was. I usually force myself to eat so that I don't leave anything behind, but I felt sorry for leaving so much of the pot. There were many kinds of appetizers, wild boar hot pot, grilled fish, grilled mochi, etc., and the taste was perfect. It was an inn I would like to come back to.

Meals around the hearth. The miso soup with mushrooms and the rainbow trout palm stew grilled over charcoal are delicious. The hot spring bath is open until 12pm and from 6am to 9:30am. If you ask, the hotel's car will take you to the Seibu Line station at 10am. A quiet inn with food and hot springs.
