First of all, please be careful as depending on the navigation system, you may end up arriving at the inn next door. It's a good place to stay, and the food is generally delicious. The most delicious carp, wild boar hotpot, salt-grilled char, and chestnut potage I've ever eaten were also delicious, and the dinner was more than satisfying! However, the main soba noodles were so uneven in thickness that I personally found it hard to tell how they tasted and how they went down my throat, so it was hard to call them ``delicious.''For dessert, it was store-bought ice cream, hmm, a grape would have been fine, so fruit would have been nice.Breakfast is also delicious Japanese food, and fruit is served here!Because it's deep in the mountains, there are a lot of insects, and the showers and toilets are broken all over the place.Above all, you will be charged a fee for bringing in food and drinks, and drinks in the refrigerator are naturally expensive. The bath is an elegant open-air bath!We have all the good materials, so we just have to pay attention to the details.

A quiet hot spring inn with a faint smell of sulfurIt is said that it can only be eaten when caught in clear streams deep in the mountains.Salt-grilled natural rock fish, Kawa deer tempuraWe also have boar hotpot and other local delicacies from the mountains of Chichibu, and the soba noodles are a perfect way to finish off your stomach. It was a great place that I would like to go to again.

The hot springs and food were neither good nor bad. However, perhaps due to a lack of employees, the food was served so slowly that it was difficult for me to ask for help. I understand that eating and drinking is part of the inn's business, but I was a bit annoyed when I was asked to order drinks over and over again every time the food was served. I don't think it will happen twice.

I arrived a little early and spoke with the fourth generation owner, who taught me about the history of the Yanagiya family. It has a history of over 150 years, dating back to the first year of the Meiji era (not founded, but registered as a hot spring inn). It seems that the 5th generation son is now taking over the business. It seems that as recently as 10 years ago, the main building from when the company was founded was still standing, but as of 2020 it has been demolished as it was not being used and was severely dilapidated. This is an inn where you can feel the history everywhere, and even the newer main building has been expanded and renovated many times, making some parts of the inn a bit strange. However, don't worry, it's not something as simple as going outside once to take a bath. The room is a Japanese-style room with an atmosphere and is probably too spacious for two people. They prepared a nice room for us. There is a stream flowing outside the window, and you can hear the sound of the river.Meals should be in moderation (important for middle-aged people), and you'll never get bored with the abundance of mountain delicacies. The carp wash is very delicious, and the wild boar meat hot pot (Botan Nabe) has no smell and is elegant and very delicious. I was able to eat the salt-grilled river fish (I forgot the name 💦), starting from the head, and the seasoning had a good amount of salt, and I was once again impressed by how good this kind of food is. And finally, the famous handmade soba. It is said that it is not 100% soba, but I personally don't think that ``just because it is 100% soba makes it delicious'', so if it tastes good then that's fine. I took the opportunity to use walnut soup instead of the usual soba soup, although it would cost extra. Since it was the last part of the meal, the portion was small and left a good impression. The soup was creamy because of the walnuts, and together with the fragrant soba noodles, it was a great way to end a great dinner. As for the overall evaluation, there are some things that are good, and some things that are a bit lacking, and both the outdoor and indoor baths are hot springs, which is very good, but I feel that the amenities that you would find in a modern inn are a little lacking. Ta. Also, regarding the outdoor bath, shampoo and other supplies are provided, but there is no shower. Even though there is a faucet with hot and cold water, I felt it was a bit inconvenient not to be able to get hot water continuously when washing my hair. There are some minor issues, but it's not that expensive, it's located about 2 hours from the city center, and it's a quiet hot spring inn in the mountains, so I feel like I'd like to use it again in the future.Thank you very much for the good hot water, food, and accommodation this time. Also thank you.

It was a nice inn that was clean, the food was delicious, and I wanted to take a bath over and over again.Thank you for the shuttle to the station! The pace of dinner was quite slow.I especially liked the char, breakfast tamagoyaki, salmon, and tofu.I ordered Ichiro's malt, but the glass was not good.I would appreciate it more if there was a little more improvement.I thought I could taste the deliciousness.I also thought it would be better to have a highball in a large mug with lots of ice rather than a small glass. Therefore 4 stars.

The road is narrow. The building is old and there is an open-air bath, but it is separated by a noren (noren curtain) rather than a door, so I was a little hesitant. The open-air bath may be suitable for 2 people. It's more like a hot spring or a mineral spring. For dinner, wild boar meat hot pot and soba noodles came out at the end. One hair dryer in the indoor bath. There is no refrigerator to bring. There are no vending machines, but there is a paid refrigerator and kettle in the room, so you can drink tea. The front desk will assist you until 9pm. The morning starts at 8am. There are bath towels, hand towels and toothbrush sets. There are shampoo etc in the bathroom, but it's a bit squeaky. You can smoke in your room

A lodging where you can enjoy Chichibu to the fullest!Although it is not a luxury inn, it is a kind, polite, and elegant inn that will make you feel like you have returned to your grandparents' home.◎RiceEverything came out hot, carefully made, and delicious! Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, so I recommend staying with rice rather than staying without meals.◎LocationIt's quite far from the station, but you can pick up and drop off by car. It was a very nice and quiet place.◎Rooms and equipmentIt's old, but it's been kept clean and you can feel that it's been taken care of, which is great. The open-air bath was also reserved.I was very satisfied with the price and it was really great, so I would recommend it to everyone.

It was a simple hot spring inn. The bath was small and old-fashioned, but it was well-cleaned and the hot water was just right. The open air was also nice. The meal wasn't too much, and the soba noodles, tempura, and boar and pork hotpot were delicious, and the hostess's homemade fruit wine was also very delicious. I would like to go again if I have a chance.
