The host turned off the air conditioner in the room I stayed in in the middle of the night. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep until morning. This is the first time I have been made to feel so terrible. It's the worst accommodation.

I made a reservation through Airbnb. Unfortunately, this property cannot be recommended for those looking for comfort. This is because the host accidentally tripped the air conditioner breaker in the middle of the night. I stayed there in mid-September, but I was unable to sleep until dawn. When I made the reservation, I assumed that the facility would be offered at a reasonable price because it was a facility that had deteriorated over time, but I couldn't help but feel very disappointed with the result. The air conditioner was working when I went to bed around 10pm when I returned home from going out for dinner, but when I woke up late at night feeling uncomfortable sleeping, the air conditioner was not working and I thought it was broken. Since it was midnight, I didn't want to wake up the host, so I opened the window. However, as it started to rain, I had no choice but to close the door, and as a result, the room temperature was quite uncomfortable. I checked out earlier than planned around 7 o'clock because I didn't feel comfortable. At check-out, when I greeted the host and told him that the air conditioner was out of order, he told me that the breaker had been intentionally turned off. I left this inn with a sad feeling, telling them that I had been treated in an impossible way and that I would be reporting a lower rating.Another negative point was that the room I was shown to did not have a key. The futon is a thin one without a mattress. An unclean pillow with hair on it (I have a shaved head). The area around the bathroom smells like garbage. In the parking lot I was directed to, my 4.97m long vehicle protruded less than 1m into the road. Even though the driver had been informed in advance that the vehicle was a large regular car similar to domestic cars of the same class, I also had doubts about the attitude of allowing the driver to park part of the vehicle off the public road and park it on the street.

It's called a private lodging, where the second floor of a typical house has about three rooms for accommodation. It is difficult to find as there is no signage on the entrance. If you let us know in advance, you may be able to park 1-2 cars. As for the wifi...the radio waves seemed to be working, but I wasn't given the password, so maybe I could use it if I asked? There are at least a few amenities. Bath towels are also provided. The bathroom and toilet are shared. There is a bath on the 1st floor and a toilet on the 2nd floor. The key to the bathroom is a simple one, so it might be a pain for women, and the room doesn't even have a key in the first place. The room is a private room. It's not a dormitory type. There seems to be a Western-style room and a Japanese-style room. Although it was a Western-style room, there was a TV. There are few electrical outlets. The air conditioner was weak and took a long time to work, but it didn't make it too hot to sleep. There is a shared refrigerator and water heater in the hallway. It seems like your father is running the business. It feels comfortable and at a reasonable distance. Considering this location in Shirahama, I don't think it's expensive, but I think you can find a more comfortable place to stay if you look for it in advance. I was able to get in on short notice, so that was a relief. It's probably run by a father alone, so there's no feminine consideration at all. I don't have any problems with the cleanliness or usability, but it's not a place I'd go to expecting nice, friendly service. It's for people who can afford to stay overnight.
