While I was nine months pregnant, my parents, brother, and I went on a sightseeing trip to Hitoyoshi and Yatsushiro and stayed there. The host at Tsurunoyu Ryokan, Mr. Tsuchiyama, was very kind and took great care of me as I was pregnant, helping me with my luggage and playing with my children. The rice was so delicious that it soaked into my body. Unusually, the children also ate lots of vegetables and fish. There were also yukatas, toothbrushes, cups, towels, etc. There are no yukatas for children, so I brought pajamas. We didn't have a TV or air conditioner, but even without them, we had a great time playing the board games Mr. Tsuchiyama prepared and felt like we had traveled back in time. There was no air conditioning, but even in late July it was cool enough to sleep with a fan, and it was a little chilly in the morning. At night, I fall asleep listening to the sounds of frogs. In the morning, I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I also took a bath in the morning. The hot spring was also the perfect temperature.I want to go again!! It was a wonderful inn.

I stayed here on May 6th.I think the room, bath, and meals were the best of all the facilities I've stayed at.First of all, the day before, we received a kind phone call to inform us that the road was under construction and that we would have to pass through narrow roads due to the heavy rains in Kumamoto. After arriving on the day, we had to carry our heavy luggage in the rain.Afterwards, we were given a detailed explanation of the facilities within the facility. The room we stayed in was one floor reserved, and it was so spacious that it was a waste for a small number of people. I thought it could accommodate about 10 people. The room was quaint and felt like staying in a museum. The bath was very clean and was reserved for private use, so I was able to relax and relax. They even made preparations for me to come in in the morning. The food, both morning and night, was exquisite, and there were over 10 small dishes made with local ingredients. Each dish was explained in detail, and I was excited because each ingredient seemed to have its own story. They also have local alcoholic beverages, and they were so delicious that I ended up drinking way too much of them lol. The explanations about alcohol are accurate and good.I can't go into further details as I don't know if the treatment I received is common to other users, but I was treated really well.More than any luxury inn,If you're staying in Kumamoto, we definitely recommend this place.

The murmuring of the Kuma River, the chirping of birds, and the cries of rain frogs. You can relax in a spacious environment surrounded by nature. Pickled ripe tomatoes, wild vegetables, fish and venison sausage, and fruit are all hearty and delicious dishes that will leave a lasting impression. Above all, the attentiveness and smiling hospitality of the owners and staff are the best!
