was a lovely hostel a stone's throw away from the shin-fuji eki, a family mart, and a wonderful ramen bar. kinoya hostel was welcoming and warm, and i stayed 2 nights in the dorms. the cubbies where i slept were a little small but still cozy, and i had a good amount of privacy with the sliding door. the onsen pot bath was lovely, prepared for me by who i assume is the owner or at least one of the key employees, who i conversed with in both japanese and english. he was kind and polite, and clearly passionate about his job. will definitely come back again!

Thank you for allowing us to stay for five nights. We found the house and the dorm beds very nice and comfortable. The public onsen is very relaxing and we enjoyed it. Everything in the house is clean and a train station, restaurants and markets are within walking distance. The two, I believe the owners, are really extremely nice and helpful. I felt like I was at home. I would come back in a heartbeat!Thank you for the lovely stay.

Best stay ever! The design and decorations of the old house are very beautiful, and the books on the bookcase are also very interesting. Bathing is by reservation only, so you don’t have to wait for someone. I can see that the owner is running the business with care. I hope I can stay a few more days💫

Near the station, a quiet place. I took a shower in the morning because it was convenient for me to do so, but there seem to be lines at other times. Everything about hygiene is free.

I have traveled quite a bit in Japan alone. There is no place as good as this place. You can enjoy an open-air bath, but you can reserve a time and enjoy it in your own space. The exterior and interior design are very clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and the restaurant he recommended was also great. Located right in front of Shinhuji Station. I will come again next time!!It was a great time in this hostel ever. Actually I traveled Japan quite a lot thought I've never had experience at here like cozy and calm. Bath system was incredible and interior design was so Japan. And the location is just near by Sinfuji station. Host was so kind also. If.. I will come and stay here again definitely.

If you are a traveler looking for friendly, clean accommodations and a Japanese feel, don't hesitate and make a reservation. It's great that Shinfuji Station, a convenience store, and a bar are just 1 minute away. The rooms for 2-3 people were full, so I took a single room, but I slept separately from my wife and I slept very comfortably.¹ Thank you.

The couple who own the store kindly explained. Dinner (izakaya), breakfast place, etc. The individual private rooms have the feel of a capsule hotel, with multiple rooms on the second floor. Convenient, near the Shinkansen station. An old Japanese-style inn where foreigners also stay.
