This is a review from the perspective of a self-propelled wheelchair user. This pension was found when searching for a barrier-free accommodation on Google Maps. I made a reservation on the pension's official website because it had a good reputation based on reviews from people who had actually stayed there. Please note that booking through a travel agent can be expensive. Currently, only room-only or breakfast-included accommodation plans are available.If you view the site on a smartphone screen, it will be difficult to see the photos and obtain information, so it is better to view the site on a tablet or computer screen. If you are unsure about anything, please be sure to call us before making a reservation.The entire pension grounds and building are flat with no steps. There were times when the mats placed in the private open-air baths did not fit with the front wheels of the wheelchairs, so it might be a good idea to ask them to move them away.If you are a wheelchair user with a helper, I think you can enjoy the open-air bath without any inconvenience as it is completely barrier-free, as other reviews have said.If you are a self-propelled wheelchair user without an assistant, you will have to use your own wheelchair inside the bathhouse as there is no dedicated wheelchair for the bathhouse. Wheelchair users who are unable to walk on their own are at risk, so it is best to call a bathing helper.Breakfast is Western style and is served at 7:30am. All-you-can-eat freshly baked bread (butter rolls and croissants). Scrambled eggs, sausage, vegetable salad, apple juice, and coffee or tea. There is not much difference in price between a room with breakfast and a room without meals, so if you want to check out at a leisurely pace, we recommend the room with breakfast included.Nasu Town is famous for stargazing, so next time I'd like to stay there on a sunny day.

I wanted to take my father, who has difficulty walking and can only manage to get in and out of a wheelchair, to an open-air bath, so I found Ale while doing some research.Even when my father went to an inn, he didn't have a bath (because his daughter was traveling with him, so she couldn't accompany him to the men's bath), but this time he was able to take a private bath, a bath wheelchair, and a slope, so he was able to take an open-air bath. !Thank you so much 😊

It's a pity that there is no rice option.It's like a Western-style course meal.Personally, I think it's better to eat outside.There is an open-air bath, but unfortunately there is only one place to wash your clothes.There was WiFi, but it was weak.

I checked including neighboring prefectures, butThis is the only inn that is highly barrier-free, allowing guests in wheelchairs to enter the bathtub using a shower carrier (bathroom compatible wheelchair).I was fed up with accommodations that claimed to be ``barrier-free'' but required troublesome transfers to access the toilets and bathrooms.This is the situation even with the Tokyo Paralympics just around the corner.(However, there are various issues involved, such as funding, staff skills development, and building a response system in the event of an emergency, so I can understand why accommodation facilities are not catching up.)That's why,I am very impressed and grateful for Gasthof Aer's service.“Thank you for running this inn.”It's a bit of a nuisance, butWe have already highly recommended the inn to our caregivers.This is because some accommodation staff say things like, ``Transfers and assistance will be a nuisance to other guests, so we'll do it in a private bath...'' The current situation is such that there are some people who say outrageous things like ``a nuisance'' when it comes to normal behavior.I'm really grateful. Thank you.Even so,As you can see by looking at the inn's homepage,The photos inside the building are small and cannot express the charm mentioned above.Later on, I'm thinking of telling the inn that ``this will be a great selling point'' and ``many people will want to know about that.''

I took my father, who uses a wheelchair, and my mother, who is visually impaired, with me.They were very kind and I was able to spend a relaxing time there.We only had breakfast, but it was delicious.I would like to go again when it gets warmer.
