◆February 2017[Good point]・The facility has just been rebuilt and is very clean! The interior uses plenty of natural materials, and the customization is cute, which I love! It felt so good to walk on the floor barefoot!・The room is very simple, but the TV is reasonably large and the comforter is fluffy! The rooms other than the Japanese-Western style rooms do not have toilets or sinks, but the communal ones are also very clean, so I don't have any objections.・The oil bath you are looking for is a good spring as rumored, and the smell is unique, but it is also good! The skin is super moist.[What wasn't good]・As soon as I arrived, the old man at the hostel gave me a nasty warning about how to park my car. I couldn't see the parking lines at all because of the snow, and there were no signs telling me where to park, and being told that kind of thing made me feel sick as soon as I arrived.・Anyway, there is a lack of explanation everywhere. Regarding the parking issue, the explanation when I rented the private open-air bath was also difficult to understand, and if I was going to go outside once, I had to let them know when I made the reservation. As I had prepared in light clothes, I had to go to the room to get my coat. I had to go back.・They won't take out that haori unless I tell them. It wasn't until I saw someone else wearing it that I realized I could borrow it.・There was no explanation about self-serve meals at dinner.・The meals were delicious both in the evening and in the morning, but the portions were so lacking that I wasn't satisfied at all, so I ended up having a second helping of white rice to fill my stomach. As mentioned in the reviews on another site, this is the first time that the only drinks available at breakfast are water and milk, and no hot tea. Morning coffee costs 100 yen per cup, which is a bit too much. I can't feel the hospitality.・The changing room in the private open-air bath was windswept and connected to the bath, so it was very cold, and the changing basket was left on the floor, so my yukata and obi got wet.・Isn't it too early to go to the hot springs even though you're staying overnight instead of just on a day trip, and you can only enter the hot springs until 8am? ! I wish they would take better care of their guests. At least consideration should be given to allowing guests to enter until 9 o'clock!・Also, the temperature of the hot springs cannot be controlled at all. There is a huge difference between being too lukewarm and being too hot. I read that the outdoor bath is hotter than the indoor bath, so I took a bath in the middle of winter and it was so lukewarm that I jumped out.[Overview]So, even though it has been beautifully rebuilt, it is a shame that there is a lack of explanation and a sense of sloppiness everywhere. I would like them to be more hospitable, to provide services themselves before the customer asks them to, and to make the inside match the outside appearance. I would like you to go to Nakamuraya in Nukabira Onsen at least once. It's about the same price, but the difference in the contents is obvious! I think it has probably been replaced recently, but I hope that they will do their best to make it their own and make it into a really good inn.

Kawashima Ryokan is located in Toyotomi Onsen, the northernmost hot spring town known for its unique hot springs that smell like oil. It may have been recently renovated, but the interior is stylish and has an open feel with the warmth of wood. The toilet and washroom are shared.Dinner is excellent. I drank wine as a pairing, and there are many types. I was impressed by the variety of dishes made with local butter. Breakfast also had butter with many flavors, all of which were very delicious, and I even bought ice packs as souvenirs.

Visited again in August 2024♪ I loved Toyotomi Onsen so much that I stayed there by myself. I'm happy to be able to use the hot springs in the hotel anytime! There is also an open-air bath and a private open-air bath (for a fee). The room is easy to use and the desk is spacious, so it's perfect for workdays ^^Day trip to the hot spring is possible. I used it for lunch. A wonderful space where you can feel the warmth of wood! I chose the inn's original Toyotomi flavored butter and bagel tasting set, and all of the original butters were so delicious that I bought them at the inn's shop on my way home ♡

There were a lot of things going on, so I filled out the questionnaire in the room, but there was no response, and I didn't even receive a reply (I knew the details of the reply from an acquaintance). If you only thank people for surveys you like, wouldn't the statement "Thank you for filling out" on the survey form be a lie?Since I went through a reservation site, I posted a review but it wasn't posted. The rave reviews posted after this posting date are posted, so they must have been intentionally cut.I just wrote what happened and my impressions without any exaggeration...I was a repeat guest and would buy at product fairs, etc., but the disappointing response left a bad impression on me.Last time I felt inconvenienced in a room without a bathroom, so this time I stayed in a room with one.[Hot springs] Some people say that the oil content is thin, but the temperature varies and is just right for soaking in it thoroughly. Is it dimly lit out of consideration for the spa guests? I have seen some complaints about the open air in the room, but it was probably improved and was comfortable.[Room] Although we had a good room, there were a lot of disappointing points. There seems to be a lack of maintenance overall. The table in the tatami room is a low table for western style rooms, and the height is not right, which makes it tiring. The level difference in the top plate is also very difficult to use, and the chips in the wood leave your hands and belongings stuck. The paper shade of the light was torn to pieces. The worst thing is if you turn on the air conditioner while you're sleeping, water leaks and hits your face and pillow. My first experience of receiving dirty water from an air conditioner on my face. Why did you place the pillow directly under the air conditioner?[Inside the building] The door to my room is noisy due to the wind pressure from opening and closing other rooms (it's a heavy and large door, so the noise is quite loud). Everything looks stylish, but there are many other things that make it difficult to use. I like how they use parts of the old inn before it was renovated in various places inside the hotel.[Customer service] I have a bad experience every time I check in, so I don't have a good impression. The atmosphere is very guesthouse-like, which is far from what you would expect from a ``ryokan,'' and it's not even friendly. The thing I hated the most was when they asked me about the meal time, saying, ``Is 0 o'clock okay?'' Is it not convenient for you at night or in the morning, and there is nothing else to do each time? When I asked him that, he started looking into it in a painstaking manner, so for some reason, I apologized and felt like he had no choice but to change it. Even though it was still early, I had already made a reservation (although there was no information that I could make a reservation in advance), so there was very little choice...Maybe it was because of the convenience of cooking? It would have been better if you explained it clearly.[Meal] The business plan was sufficient last time, and the butter course was heavy, so this time it will be the same. It was delicious, but the content was clearly lacking. Breakfast may seem small if you don't eat butter-related foods.Between my last stay and this stay, various new butter-related products were released. I hope the hotel industry will put in the same amount of effort. What a waste of a wonderful hot spring. ☆2 is for the quality of the hot springs.
