Was met with terribly unprofessional treatment from the staff Tona from Waterfall restaurant that marred my Club Med experience on 5th October.I made a booking for cooking class for 3pax in the morning before going off for 8am yoga class - the staff asked me to write down my name and room number. Later on I asked other companions to join the class too, which they signed up as well.When I turned up for the cooking class, the instructor informed my booking was not registered, but the other companions that had booked after me were registered for. She then called Tona, who came down and informed me that my booking was not received and thus it's not possible to join. He then demanded for the staff name "give me the name" which I was unable to provide and then he rudely told me that my booking is not in and gestured the instructor to start the lesson. "I say proceed" and walked off, ignoring me.While I can understand it's human error that the booking was missed out (since it was just written down on paper, the staff probably missed submission) but I cannot accept such rude and unprofessional behaviour from Tona.To push the blame to the guest for not remembering the name of staff who took the booking - It does not solve the original problem and does not help anything but ruin the impression of Club Med.

(02-05 Sep '24)We reconnected with familiar faces and made new friends in this trip.A great shout-out to the bar team of Joni, Hakim, Lucky, Roi, David, Ashwin and Kyle!We (the adults) were always hanging around the bar and they never fail to amaze us with their concoctions.Many thanks to Syasya, Ribka, Nanda, Zan, Cinthia, Angel, Fida, Four, Jacky and Amas from the Mini Club team for constantly looking after and entertaining our child while the parents are unwinding by the bar!Batu, Berta, Tona and Chef Rudy rounds up the plethora of amazing staffs that made us feel welcomed and it's like returning to cozy place away from home.Thank you for the hospitality showered upon us, we will definitely be back again!

Travelled solo in September for my birthdayThe suite:Located on the top floor, the suite guarantees panoramic views of the resort and the gorgeous beach. The stately room is well-furnished and is also equipped with a sizable bath that can comfortably fit tall people. The suite also comes with in-room breakfast should you wish to dine in the comforts of your room. If you are celebrating a special event or are simply looking for a luxurious experience in paradise, I highly recommend booking the suite.The spa:During my stay, I had booked in to the spa for 2 of their signature treatments, the Ancestral Indonesian and Hanakasumi treatments. The new Club Med Spa uses Sothys products, which is a renowned brand made in France. The new treatments are even more relaxing due to the new techniques employed. In particular, the Hanakasumi treatment is unique to Sothys Paris, and results in buttery soft skin that is perfumed with the scent of a field of delicate sakura flowers. If you are looking for a pampering indulgence to relax and unwind, I highly recommend the Hanakasumi body treatment, as it is something you wouldn’t be able to find at other spas.Flying trapeze:Following a bad accident whilst doing trapeze in Maldives, I was extremely hesitant and afraid to have another go at trapeze again. However, thanks to the reassurance from the experienced team at Bintan, I managed to muster the courage to try again and it was an incredibly liberating experience. My sincere thanks to Bintan’s circus team for always making safety a priority and for helping me to rebuild the confidence to fly again, I know I am in safe hands with you guys around.Food & beverage and entertainment:Bintan undoubtedly has the best food and beverage among the Asian villages, and is special as the resort organizes gala dinners outdoors (weather permitting) to provide guests with a memorable experience. Kudos to the F&B team for your hard work setting up each gala dinner, it’s definitely not an easy task but your teamwork is inspiring. I was blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful beach dinner with show, and it was absolutely breathtaking to watch a masterfully crafted evening show with the therapeutic sound of waves in the background. The Aquahari pool show and dinner is also a staple and must-see when you’re in Bintan. The Basque cheesecake is absolutely delicious, and it is good enough to out-rival those created by Michelin starred restaurants. The incredibly talented bar team also do a great job at crafting a variety of bespoke cocktails according to what tastes you enjoy.Turtle conservation program:Club Med Bintan has a turtle conservation program as every year, hawksbill and green turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. When a nest is discovered on the beach, the team takes extra care to place the eggs in a protected hatchery behind the water sports counter. In 2mths the turtles hatch and are released into the wild 2 days later. It was magical being able to witness the release of 92 baby hawksbill turtles on the gentle beach of Bintan.Julien and Bintan’s amazing GO Team:My heartfelt and sincerest thanks goes out to Bintan’s best CDV Julien, and his phenomenal GO team. Over the past 1yr, I have had the privilege to get to know many of you and regard you as my family (special mention to my twin sister Ling!). All of you have helped to make this birthday the most memorable celebration I have ever enjoyed! Thank you for showing me your genuine love and kindness, I am truly blessed to be able to call you guys my 2nd family away from home. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart to Julien and his amazing team (Fenny, Richard, Ling, Joa, Mimi, Sujit, Azizul, Tona, Dimas, Hakim, Kuhan, Dr Os, Yum, Sandy, Leo, Hayley, Kyle, Teddy, Sharm, Tom, Ally, Wep, Hendry, Mai, Holly, Ross, Berta, Mitch, Karen, Job)!!It is always very difficult for me to leave Club Med Bintan because of its captivating beauty and my lovely Bintan family. Totally enjoy the drinks and cocktails. The stuffs are all so super friendly especially this Bartender Kuhan, he is super nice guy and He taught us how to make nice cocktail.

This is the third Club Med I've been too & enjoyed it the most. Excellent service from Fahmi and team at the Panorama coffee bar to caring child care by Princess Ripka and team. Snorkelling team lead by Alex were very helpful as well as those at the Terrace restaurant. Lot's of cheeky monkeys around which was comical at times.

And very entertained!We enjoyed a power walk with Richie, putt putt with Kyle and rock climbing with Athena.Lots of fun and laughs for the kids in kids club with Hayley, Syasysa aka little mermaid,The naughty pirate who stole the key and Zan and AngelThe food and all the restaurant staff were amazing thanks Azizul.The thing I am looking forward to going back for is sitting at the beach bar having a cocktail while watching the kids play on the

Good points:1. Beach is indeed beautiful.2. Staffs are friendly & helpful, quite good service.3. Bus service to and from the ferry terminal is convenient.Bad points:1. Resort buildings and rooms are very run down. With lizards everywhere and one crawled into the room. My room and bedsheets are also very dusty. Definitely needs renovation.2. My building & room was super far away from all the main amenities. It was really dark to walk all the way back to my room with very dim lights on the ground after dinner.3. Booked a sea view room, but given a pond view room instead. Booked a room with balcony, but was only told that there are monkeys around as I reached. And sadly, my room is at ground floor.4. Pre-booked a spa morning session through their app. But was told fully booked & need to reserve time slots early at the counter there. Why not just have a time slot in the app then?5. First night buffet dinner was at the beach area instead of at the main restaurant. Not a great idea as there were many flies around and hard to walk steadily on the sand with a heavy plate of food. The staffs put in a lot effort setting up the dining tables, chairs & the buffet etc. though..6. Food overall are sub par. Not a lot varieties.7. The pool table needs maintenance as the balls either get stuck inside or drop out.8. Swimming pool doesn't look clean.Have been to other resorts, this is the worst I've been. Not recommended as they can't even meet the basic standards though it's an international brand.

Club med Bintan is the best! It’s my first time in club med. they gave us a wonderful experience and memory! Shout out to coach Richie and stunt team, they are awesome! And I love Richie’s training classes and archery class!! Very professional. The stunts teams performance at beach night is amazing
