We are from Italy and came across this property. Typical structure with tatami and futon and classic kimono. Sink in the room and shared bathrooms, all OK. Inside there are 2 onsen with natural waters and they provide towels and costumes and everything you need for well-being. Fantastic Japanese style food, and I repeat fantastic, both for dinner and breakfast. The property also accepts animals. We had a really good time, we are an Italian couple on holiday and they made us feel at home, despite the difficulty in communicating. Fantastic staff.. I forgot, on the way out a bridge crosses the river, below there is a no sex public onsen, 2 steps from the river.

I visited with my small dog.The Western-style rooms are spacious and have a wooden roof, so you can stay in peace. I also liked the quality of the hot springs.

One of the most pleasant surprises in our trip. A cosy, down-to-earth Ryokan that is spotlessly clean, offers delicious kaiseki dinners, and best of all, is pet-friendly! We love dogs and it was a joy to be able to see so many loved pets with their families. Owners with cats also stay here. ❤️💕All the dogs we met were very well behaved (they've probably been to more ryokans than we have!). And the inn is impeccably clean. The owners of the inn are friendly, very accomplished in hospitality and they speak English. The inn/ ryokan has an onsen on the premises, and has swimsuits for guests to use at the outdoor public onsen by the river. We had a 2 person room which came with a private toilet. Shower/ bath was in the shared onsen which is typical of ryokans. Yukatas, jackets, tea, tv and heaters are in the bedroom. Very traditional feeling of warmth and hospitality "omotenashi" with modern amenities and cleanliness. Highly recommended. I would love to come back here with my dog. ❤️🐾
