A comfortable campsite near the Kumano Kodo! Make sure to give yourself enough time to walk here from the Chikatsuyu trailhead before dark (~1km). We loved the onsen!

I can't go to other campsites because the facilities are so well equipped.Clean water, wide river, easy shopping, kind and courteous, hot springs 24 hours a day, etc.If you want to camp easily, comfortably, and without any inconvenience, this is the place.I usually visit from Osaka about three times a year.

We stayed during our recent trip hiking the Kumano Kodo. The river nearby was nice to swim in after a long day of walking. There is an onsen onsite as well!

Though it's true that it might be a little expensive, after a long day's walk it can't really get any better than dipping in the ice cold river then bathing in the free onsen. It has wifi, charging stations and even an indoor area where you can cook and grill.

I was curious about the hot springs based on the reviews, so I made a reservation the day before. It's a weekday, so it's reserved for everyone! I had a relaxing time. It was a nice campsite with a beautiful river and plenty of shade from trees. There are raccoon dogs and deer come to visit too. Goddess Hot Spring, just a short walk from the site, is the meltiest and best hot spring I've ever been to. If you pay the campsite fee, you can enter as much as you want! I went in four times. The only thing I can say is that the toilet is old. I want to go again in the season when I can play in the river.

I used it for auto camping. The campground itself wasn't that big and the distance from the neighboring plots was close, but the site itself was relatively spacious and we were able to secure enough space for two cars and one tent. Garbage could be picked up by paying a bag fee (about 500 yen).Regarding the payment scene, the reception in the administration building was poor, so cashless payments were available, but code payments could not be used. By the way, it's a Softbank line. The tent site had a normal signal.I was worried about whether I would survive staying in a tent in the middle of winter as it gets extremely cold in the mornings and nights in the Chikinro area, but there is a hot spring that you can soak in as much as you like within a 60-second walk, and you can soak in the slightly lukewarm water for a long time and sleep warm. It's done. The staff were all warm and friendly, and I felt very comfortable during my two days and one night stay. Since the price is low, I would like to use it again.

The park was a nice location, seems to have been in hard times/a bit run down, maybe just the winter season. Was a bit expensive for what it was, some other inns along the kumano kodo included dinner/lunch for same price. However it does the job! Was expecting to be in one of the cute cabins but was in a building block.
