In 2024, the campsite will be open for a limited period, and there will be a fee of 1000 yen.When I visited on June 4, 2024, it was closed, so I ended up staying at a nearby paid campground.

The southernmost campground on Honshu has a set opening period, so be sure to check before you go.I used it for Golden Week, but it's a free site and the grounds are large, so you can't get reservations, but I don't think it will be full.

I visited it at a bicycle camp.I expected there to be a lot of people during Golden Week, but there were a lot of families here so it wasn't suitable for quiet camping.Also, the kitchen and toilets were full of water by the time I got home.Bicycles are not allowed to be brought in. Since it faces the Pacific Bicycle Path, I thought it would be nice if it was a little more suitable for bicycle camping.It's great to be able to camp cheaply and throw away trash.

As others have written, it is limited to the opening day.Although the 1,000 yen fee is fine, it has become really difficult to use.I can imagine that the behavior of erratic people became a problem during the camping boom.Camping boom...sigh.

An oasis when you arrive on a weekdayI was thinking of coming to the southernmost tip because this is where it is. I got the impression that there were a lot of people with good manners, probably because they were using it on weekdays.Not only will it no longer be available for free starting in 2022, but it will also be available only on weekends and holidays.Although it is still free, it is virtually unusable. Very disappointing.I mostly used it when I was free on weekdays, such as Mondays and Fridays, including Saturdays and Sundays, so I don't think I will use it anymore.It's a hassle to check the available days, and if I can't cross on weekdays, I won't go.In March, when it's a pleasant spring day, I can't even use Saturdays and Sundays.It was a good old memory now.Goodbye Shionomisakithank you very much!

There is a paid period, but it's basically free and the location is good. The restaurant next to the tourist tower is surprisingly delicious. One of their specialties is saury sushi, but it's cheaper to buy it at Okuwa in front of Kushimoto Station than at a souvenir shop.In terms of facilities, it is hard to say that it is suitable for families.The lawn is suitable for families, but during the free period, the outskirts of the lawn are used as a place to set up, so it's not that big. To be exact, there are 0 toilets. Use the nearby public restroom. There is only one washing area and it is small, so it is difficult for a large number of people to use it exclusively.Also, since it's free, there are quite a few people living there. In the past, there were large permanent tents along the road, but these days people often sleep in their cars.I make dried fish near my car. It's nice because it's not like the campgrounds in Hokkaido where they take over and do little things. That's a serious no-noIt looks like the campground is only open on limited days.This post is now lostI will leave it as a memory of the past.

The southernmost campsite on HonshuUntil about the year before last, it was available all year round, but now it can only be used a few times a year.Please check the homepage for available dates and visit. I don't think you need a reservation.Previously, there was a charge only during the high season and during Golden Week, but now there is a charge on days when it can be used. I'll give you a garbage bag.The site is a free site and cars and motorcycles are not allowed to enter. Carrying luggage is a hassle. The parking lot is not that big either.The site is a grassy area, not a lawn, the grass is long and there are many grasshoppers. I guess you haven't mowed the lawn.The toilet is across the road. There is also a kitchen.Since it is the southernmost campground on Honshu, I would like it to be available all year round.I want to do winter camping, New Year's Eve camping, etc.Dear Kushimoto Town, please improve this.
