First visit in about 10 years. Last time I visited with my late father, but this time I visited with my mother and my family, a total of 5 people.Last time, we were surprised at how old the building was, but the food was so delicious that everyone was satisfied with the trip.Even after my father became ill, we all wanted to go to Kotobuki Ryokan together again, but our visit came just before the seventh anniversary of my father's death. This time, the bath at the inn was broken, so I had to use the nearest public bath, but I didn't feel it was particularly inconvenient (I paid for everything and it was only a 1-minute walk away).More than that, we were soothed by the smiles and warm hospitality of the people at the inn, and the delicious food just like 10 years ago, making it a trip that the whole family was satisfied with.I don't recommend it to people who are concerned about the age of the building (it's kept clean, but it feels dilapidated here and there), but if you're looking for a trip where you can feel the warmth of the people and have a soothing experience. I can say with certainty that this is a ryokan that I would highly recommend anyone to stay at.This is one of the inns that I want to stay in forever.

The building is certainly old, but I thought it was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The food was also delicious. The customer service was just right and I even made a reservation for my next visit when I checked in.The bath was also available for private use, so I was able to enjoy it at my leisure without any time restrictions.I'm looking forward to the next time.

Although it is old and the facilities have not been updated, the food is delicious and the hospitality is conscientious, so I think it will receive mixed reviews.I think it will be difficult to compete with other large hotels and inns.I think they are probably cutting back on capital investment and making ends meet as a family business with only three customers per day. Fixed asset tax seems like a lot!The hot water in the bath was good, but the drainage wasn't flowing so well...I thought it was broken! The local fish sashimi, small fried chicken, and kawara soba are delicious. The location is good as you can see Cortot Hall from the room.

◆First visit in April 2020Stayed here on the way back from touring around Kyushu.I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I was the only one staying there, so I was able to relax. The building is quite old and can be described as ``a run-down inn.'' However, it seems that it used to be crowded in the past. Apparently the Jumbo Group, led by golfer Jumbo Ozaki, stayed here during a tour, and there was a photo of it on display. The hot springs are flowing Na.Ca chloride springs. There was a time limit for bathing. The food is very delicious. And the menu table conveys the hospitality of the young proprietress. My name was written on it. First time seeing it💯There was just one problem. That's because the toilet is Japanese style. I have bad knees, so the Japanese style is tough for me (lol)

The meal was very delicious.I've eaten Kawara Soba many times at other restaurants, but I like the taste of this inn better. The building is quite old. It's surprisingly old lolCare was taken to allow only one group per floor. The bathroom is also old lolHowever, the hot water was great. It was completely reserved, so there were no time restrictions and I was able to take my time.

■I think the building is over 60 years old. Although the facility is very old and we cannot expect much from the facilities, we received the warm hospitality that made up for this, so we would like to give it the highest rating as a token of our gratitude.■We recommend eating the Kawara Soba served at dinner here rather than at a specialty restaurant.■Originally, kawara soba is literally soba baked using real roof tiles and topped with shredded seaweed, beef, and tamago. Everything at the specialty store uses restaurant-grade roof tiles, costs 1,200 yen, and only has a small amount of soba and beef.■The Kawara Soba at Kotobuki Ryokan has a generous portion and is the real deal.■The stairs in the building are very steep, so if you miss a step, you will fall. I think it would be harsh for elderly people who are unsteady on their feet.■Matsuo Shrine, Kawatana no Mori, and Corto Hall are located nearby, making it convenient for sightseeing.

Far from being a quaint old folk house, it is an old wooden house built after the war, and the building is quite rattled, so it feels like it has been renovated and reused. …

It was my child's birthday, so I brought a cake, and they kindly lent me the refrigerator, as well as plates and forks. They were also very kind, such as preparing buckets for fireworks and pointing out nearby beaches. Although the facility is old, I was able to relax and feel like I was back at my grandma's house. The food was very delicious and I was able to spend a satisfying vacation.
