The entrance is small, but it is deep and extends to the garden. It's a historic building, but we had two rooms: one with futons and one with a table and TV. There was a verandah, so I was able to spend a spacious and relaxing time. The food was just right, and there are two hot springs nearby, Shirazaru-no-Yu and Machi-no-Yu, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I bought a steamed bun as a souvenir.

Thank you to Mr. Izumiya for your help. First of all, I didn't know where to park, so I called at the entrance, but it seemed like there was no one there... The road in front of the inn was narrow, so I couldn't park my car for long, and it was a one-way street, so I had to start over. To return, head to the return bus stop, Tawarayama Onsen. If you look around, you will see a parking lot next to the shrine. If this place is full, drop off your luggage in front of the inn, continue on, pass Machi-no-Yu and Shirazaru-no-Yu, turn left at the bridge just past, and you will find a parking lot. Well, it's a ryokan, but perhaps because there aren't many staff, you can't expect the same service as a hotel. The meals in the evening and in the morning are not luxurious, but they are really delicious. The room shows a lot of movement around the room. It's far from barrier-free, so I think it's best not to push yourself too hard for the elderly or people with disabilities. This inn does not have an indoor bath, so you will have to use the outdoor bath, and you will need to pay a fee each time you use it. Admission fees are 850 yen for adults at Shirazaru-no-Yu and 530 yen for adults at Machi-no-Yu, so we recommend purchasing a Tawarayama Onsen bathing ticket of 1,500 yen. This allows you to bathe in the hot spring as many times as you like until 12:00 the next day. I used this four times: Shirazaru no Yu + Machi no Yu before dinner on the day I arrived, Hakuzaru no Yu after dinner, and Machi No Yu after breakfast the next day. It may be difficult for people who are used to modern conveniences, but once you soak in a hot spring, you will understand how good it is. This is a hot spring that I hope will continue to exist.

Although it is a very old inn, the food is delicious. The fish and chestnut rice were really delicious. The hot spring is an outdoor bath, so I went to the one in town, and as soon as I entered, I felt smooth. There is a complete difference in how moisturized my face is and how smooth my whole body is. I also drank hot spring water and was very satisfied. Free Wi-Fi is also available, and I will come again.

I think people who like Showa style would like it.Taking an outdoor bath is difficult when the weather is bad.I don't know if it was a female employee or the landlady, but she seemed busy and tired.

It was used by a family of five including elementary school students. My husband and I don't like places with a lot of people, so we decided to look at the atmosphere, but there were fewer people than we expected lol.I think it's still somewhat retro and emotional, but both of the two town baths are undergoing maintenance and only half of the bathtubs can be used (I thought it was not due to maintenance but that they could no longer be maintained). So, I started to worry about how much longer Tawarayama Onsen itself, not just this inn, would remain. The hot springs were nice, and considering that it was popular a while back, I hope they continue to do their best in the future.

The inn at Tawarayama Onsen has an outdoor bath system, with a town bath and a Byakko bath, and in winter, guests head to the bath in their inn costumes. …
