Nice decor, impeccably clean. Location is near Geibikei but there is nothing else around. The walls were very thin and the person who checked me in was not particularly friendly.

Stayed here last year and this year when participating in a balloon tournament. Lunch with all-you-can-eat freshly baked bread is popular, but I always order the galette. Last year it was a raw ham galette, and this year it was a swordfish galette. It looked beautiful and was exquisite.

The stylish design and calm atmosphere made it feel like a guest house. The food was not pretentious, it was a light course meal, they omitted unnecessary appetizers and only served delicious food, and the main course, a juicy hamburger, was amazing.Just the chef who greets you at check-in? It was a shame because the male staff at dinner and the female staff in the morning were pleasant. Also, there were flies in the water I drank at check-in and in the morning juice cup, which made me uncomfortable, but I wonder if it's just a coincidence. When I was paying the bill through the small window connecting the kitchen and the floor, I saw countless flies. At the end, I felt disappointed, thinking that it might have been in the delicious breakfast or the hamburger the night before.

It's a very nice pension. The hamburger steak for dinner was also very delicious.

A wonderful guesthouse to enjoy when visiting Japan's beautiful Geibikei Gorge in Iwate prefecture. We stayed three nights because we had heard the meals at the guesthouse were pretty special. And they were!  …

It was one of the nicest inns I've ever stayed at.interior atmosphereatmosphere of peopleFood (especially this one is the best...)Surrounding environment (The sounds of sculpins coming from the river at night are soothing)In my opinion, it's 5 stars. As the owner said, I think there is room for improvement in the insulation and soundproofing of the room, so I am giving it 4 stars.I want this to be my regular stay when visiting Ichinoseki.
