It is a place of relaxation for Tono citizens, with a large bath and a fishing pond. The fishing pond is a great place to catch fish, so I think it's perfect for children to try their hand at fishing. You can stay overnight, but apart from staying in a hotel, you can also choose to rent out a private house.Accommodation at Magariya may not have modern comforts, but you can enjoy a very interesting experience. It's heated so you won't get cold, there's a regular restroom nearby, and you can rent it out for up to 14 people, so you can have a fun night out with friends. Please note that you will have to eat and take a bath in the main building, but you will have to walk up quite long and steep stairs to get there. Also, the structure makes it quite difficult for people in wheelchairs to use it. Please check in advance as necessary.

(Stayed at Magariya. Date is Friday the 4th of this month)Below the comments section, it says ``Please tell us more about these topics'' and ``Safety,'' so I decided to write them here as well.Safety → Not at allIt's hard to believe that the night shift from the main building was stationed under the same roof until two or three years ago...in a room across from the sliding door that didn't have a lock. The inn probably trusts the person in charge, but from our perspective, it's impossible to trust someone you've never met.It seems that he has now “stopped being a full-time resident.”Now, from now on...especially before and after maintenance. What are you going to do?Well, it's good that I'm no longer stationed there, but...This time, a customer from the main building ignored the no trespassing sign (pictured above) and came down the stairs near the entrance to our room. It's fine if it's a foreigner, but if it's a Japanese person, I'll be like, ``Huh? Is this place off limits? ``I didn't know~''Suikoen is probably the only facility where other people come rushing into your private space even though it's not a shared space.(Stunned) You cannot safely leave your luggage in the hearth room near the entrance. My companion, who grew up in the countryside, was already uncomfortable with the smell of stink bugs pervading the room in the shop (to me it was a strange smell, reminiscent of a coal mine, but not unpleasant at all), but it was also intrusive on his personal space. It seemed quite uncomfortable, so I decided to stay in the new building next time.Is it just ``Rindo'' in terms of location? There is a beehive on the ceiling of the balcony (according to my companion, it is most likely a hornet), so I would like to ask the inn to remove it after seeing this comment, and for those who are considering staying in the new building. We recommend that you do not open the window.About the existence of zashikiwarashi→‥‥‥I mentioned stink bugs and wasps above, but...I don't think anyone with a tough personality or who can't tolerate the ``rural environment'' would be anything like Doji-chan, to begin with.

October 5th, overnight trip, no meals. The location is perfect for sightseeing in Tono. There also seems to be a shuttle bus from Tono Station. The garden seemed more compact than it looked on the website, but I like it because it's full of nature. For dinner, I had ginger-fried flax pork at the restaurant. Flax pork seems to be a specialty here. The local cuisine was also delicious. The front desk staff and restaurant staff are also kind and polite. The room is 8 tatami mats long and has a toilet and washbasin. The building seems to be quite old, but the inside of the building is very clean and comfortable with no dust in the hallways or rooms. It's surrounded by a lot of nature, so even if you close the screen door, small insects can get in, so if you don't like it, you shouldn't open it. Speaking of shortages, there is only one outlet in the room and it is far away from the futon, so if you are staying with multiple people, you might want to ask if you can borrow an extension cord. Are there outlets in larger rooms? The system where you can ask questions from the website was also helpful. This is a very comfortable inn to stay in.

In September 2024, a large number of us stayed at an inn called Nanbu Magareya. It was stated that Magareya was a house from the Edo period and was relocated in the 1970s.It was impressive that the walls were covered with jizai hooks (tools used to hang pots in the hearth). They come in a variety of shapes, including fish-shaped ones for everyday use and ones for everyday use, and they were apparently used in ordinary households in Iwate Prefecture about 40 years ago.The floor of the room with the hearth was warped, showing its age, but the wood used is very solid and gives the building a strong feel. There was one room with a low table and about 4 rooms that could be used as bedrooms, and there were green tea sets and pots for the number of people, and black bean sweets. Each bedroom was large enough to accommodate three futons. The futon was thick and I slept comfortably. The weather on the day I stayed was cloudy and the temperature was around 15 degrees, which was cool for September, but I was able to spend a comfortable time indoors at Magariya wearing long sleeves and long pants. There was a Western-style toilet and washroom in each room right next to the Magariya room. For meals, multiple toilets, and baths, we had to move to Takamuro Suikoen. Getting there required climbing up and down two to three stories of steep stairs. I felt this part was a little inconvenient, and I think it would be difficult for elderly people to stay overnight.Dinner was a simple menu, but the sashimi, clam soup, and edamame tofu were delicious. Also, the Iwate wine moon serenade was delicious. They also accommodated the dietary needs of people with allergies and vegetarians.A washing machine and dryer were installed. The price was reasonable, so I would have used detergent if I had brought it with me.Although the bath was not a hot spring, it was very warm as it used binchotan charcoal.Breakfast was simple Japanese food. The rice and boiled winter melon were delicious. The staff was very kind, as I needed dressing for the shredded cabbage, so when I asked for it, they went out of their way to prepare it for me.Since I was carrying large luggage, I found it difficult to climb the stairs, so I consulted with the front desk. After checking out, they made it easy for me to go home from Magariya instead of from Takamuro Suikoen where the front desk is located, which was very helpful. After checking out, we went fishing in the pond in the garden of Magariya. It was a lot of fun to catch fish easily by attaching kneaded bait and dropping it on the house. The fish you catch cannot be released, so you must take them home or eat them. I thought it was kind of helpful for the staff to remove the internal organs for you if you wanted to take them home. There are some inconveniences, such as it being dark and scary to go to the bathroom at night and the stairs being difficult, but overall it was an interesting experience. The building is very large, so it would be lonely if two people stayed together. I thought it would be fun if there were a large group of people who found historical buildings interesting, as they wouldn't have to worry about disturbing other people even if they had a lively conversation.

This hotel is a nice gem nestled in the outskirts of Tono. The best part of it is that you can rent the Magariya house instead of a regular room. With that, you get access to the entirety of a converted traditional horse house down a corridor from the main hotel! They added heaters and they also have a fridge, hot water, and a tv for chilling in the Magariya after enjoying a soak in the onsens of the main building. The next day you can also enjoy fishing for your lunch after check out at the fishing area behind the Magariya itself! Don’t forget to get the dinner package which was lovely. They were also *very* accommodating with allergies in our group and took care to not have any allergens in our food.

I stayed at Nambu Magare House.I don't have many opportunities to stay overnight, so it's valuable. It was one night. Where can I stay?It is only available from spring to fall, and cannot be accommodated in winter. There was no air conditioner, so we used two fans, but it wasn't too hot and the room temperature was just right. Midsummer can be toughYou don't know, do you? From the frontQuite steep stairs up to the curved houseThere are about 70 steps, so elderly people have good legs and hips.It may be inconvenient for bad people. The public bath is an artificial hot spring with a nice view. The morning bath is from 6:00 to 7:30.Be careful. The food doesn't have many items, so it might not be enough for young people. The garden is wonderful, and there is also a fishing pond in the pond.
