2023.04.10 (Monday) AccommodationWe had a really fun time. It's reasonable to just stay there, but the added value of being able to listen to the stories of the Yamabushi proprietress was great.【merit】- Close to Kinpusen-ji Temple (10 minutes walk), convenient as a base for sightseeing in Yoshino (easy to participate in the gongyo from 6:30 a.m.)・There is a parking lot, and even though the rooms are private, the price is reasonable (we recommend using this as a base for sightseeing the next day)・There is a guest house in the group, and for an additional 500 yen you can enter the hot spring (free transportation by the landlady)Towels and bath towels are available for rental.Body soap and shampoo are also available in the shower room.・You can also eat breakfast for an additional 1,000 yen.・Interesting stories about the landlady with a science background (stories about Shugendo, stories about deforming bacteria, history of Yoshino, etc.)(There is a possibility that it will be gone within the year)・A large number of books about the landlady's hobbies are displayed in the common space (I can't read them all, but they seem interesting)・There is a ``fu memo'' (landlady's memo?) in the room to make sightseeing in Yoshino more enjoyable. Her personality comes through in her illustrations, and she has a sense of humor that makes you laugh.【Demerit】・Although it is conveniently located, if you are visiting by car during cherry blossom viewing season, it is recommended to arrive after 5:00 pm.・There are few places where you can eat dinner

My husband and I stayed here while traveling around Japan. At check-in, we were greeted by the proprietress, Fu-san, and the signboard cat, Chi-chan.Chi-chan is friendly and soothing. The inn was thoroughly cleaned and I was able to spend a comfortable time there.Above all, the stories told by Ms. Fu, the landlady of Yamabushi, were all very interesting, and it was a really fun night! This inn has great hospitality, such as providing hot water bottles and hand warmers!thank you very much!*The Yamabushi proprietress Fu's ``Fu Memo'' is extremely interesting, so please give it a read!

I stayed here for 3/4 nights in April, during cherry blossom season. It was the best decision I had made. The beds are so comfy and the room is quite spacious. I was doing work remotely so the small table they had in the room was perfect. I honestly think the comforter and blankets they had were the best I’d had in any hotel in Japan - they were genuinely super fluffy and warm at night.I highly recommend adding on the breakfast - I forget how much it is, but it’s a Japanese style breakfast at Unagiya Taipei. They let you eat as early as 7:30, which was perfect for me to hike up the mountain for sunrise and eat on the way down.I personally do not recommend getting the Onsen bath add-on. The Onsen is not inside the Inn, but is actually at Kam Kam, a ryokan around ~10 minutes walking. My main qualm is that in order to get to and from the Onsen you walk uphill and along the main road for a tiny bit, which causes you to break a sweat and renders the bath you just took to clean null. It’s great to just relax but the inn has its own shower on the first floor (there is only 1 shower). The host was super kind explaining all the details about the space, and giving me recommendations for the area. There is a common area where you can cook, eat, lounge around and meet new people. It is filled with small trinkets like rocks and there was even a cat! Very cute space to spend time in at night. Some things to note is that the Inn is on a pretty steep incline. This may be obvious because yoshinoyama is a mountain, but just a precaution to those who may have mobility issues - the inn is up a small section of the main road that ramps up to a moderate incline. There is a parking lot at the Inn and also across the street you can pay for.I will definitely stay here again the next time I come back to Yoshino!

An interesting inn whose owner is a Yamabushi. It was interesting to have a wide-ranging conversation with the owner after relaxing in the hot springs. The owner, who has a science background (I felt a kinship with him because there was a book on organic chemistry on his bookshelf), is good at explaining things and putting things together, and is very easy to understand.By the way, the Yoshinoyama area is fine for lunch, but most of the shops close at 5pm. There are no supermarkets either. So, if you are staying overnight, don't forget to shop for ingredients at the supermarket near Yoshinogawa!.Also, Hayashi Tofu's zaru tofu is really delicious. The smooth texture and soybean flavor are exquisite. Soy milk donuts are also recommended as a snack. No wonder this inn has a repeat customer rate of over 60%! It was a really fun two days.
