I was shown to a room larger than the one I had booked. It looked like a large hall in a normal house, but there was no door. When I went to bed, I wanted to make it dark, but I was nervous because I didn't know where the lights were! My husband was drunk and went to bed first. The food was locally sourced and all very delicious. The hot springs were always comfortable for one or two people to use.Going to an open-air bathThere were handrails so I could move around safely.Old inns all have stairs. I'll be in trouble if I don't train my legs and hips! I thought.

I stayed on a Saturday holiday in mid-September for about 21,000 yen per person, including two meals. It was my first time staying at Dorogawa Onsen in my life, and it was a very nice town with the good old hot spring town remaining. This inn has one of the best atmospheres among them, and people from nearby came to take pictures of the beautiful illuminated garden at night.① The room faced the street, but there was no problem in terms of size. Was the WIFI a bit weak? In the morning, I was relaxing while watching people taking an early morning walk and buying tofu at the tofu shop lol.② Because there is only one hot spring with an open-air bath, there was a gender rotation system. The bathtub might be enough for a hotel, but honestly it's quite compact. The quality of the spring water is not like that of a flowing water, and since it is a weakly alkaline simple spring, I couldn't really tell how good it was.③ It was a basic kaiseki course, but we also had river fish such as char sashimi and salt-grilled sweetfish, all of which were delicious. Personally, I felt that as a man, I was a little underrepresented (I am the personal manager). If the ending had been country miso rather than soup, I would have liked to have had some rice as well. The breakfast was very well seasoned and delicious.④ I think the people at the inn are family-run, but everyone was kind and welcoming, and I felt very at ease. We had a great time watching the owner's children running around in the garden and climbing on top of Hotei, and thinking, ``Wow, we used to be like this when we were kids.''So, it was a very good stay. It's really cool even at this time of year, and I'd like to visit again in the summer. Dorogawa Onsen itself seems to have been a hot spring since the 1970s, so it feels like it was added as an afterthought as a post town, which you can clearly see as you walk around the town. So rather than a hot spring, I thought it would be more fun to visit this historic post town and as a summer resort. The illumination of the street at night was also very beautiful!

I visited on a family trip on Tuesday, March 19th for my 60th birthday. There were 8 people in total, 5 adults + 1 child + 2 infants, so they prepared us a separate room on the 1st floor with snow-view screens for dinner, and when we told them we were celebrating our 60th birthday, they gave us a glass of red wine. I was very happy.Dinner was a steak course, but there was more meat than I expected and I was full♪ The tofu and konnyaku were also very delicious. And above all, I liked the tasteful building. The warm light and garden welcome you with lanterns. The room was decorated with polished floors, stylish sliding doors, snow-viewing shoji screens, furniture decorations, a view of the snow from the room, and a small open-air bath, all of which created an atmosphere that really made me feel at ease. .The people are kind and the night view of Dorogawa Onsen is amazing! It's also a place I want to go to.

I visited from the Nara area. It's exciting to see snow pile up every time you cross a tunnel. There was no snow three days ago.The day before, I received a call to confirm that I would be wearing winter tires. There is a garage in front of the inn, so you don't have to worry about it even if it snows.I am very satisfied with the hot springs, food, and customer service. The building was old so it was a little cold, but there was a hot water bottle in the futon so I was able to sleep warmly until morning. The dish was duck hotpot - the meat was tender and very delicious. Just when I thought I was too full to eat all the rice, they made me rice balls for dinner and I was so happy. The snow season is great, but next time I would like to visit by bike during the sweetfish season.
