Ideal accommodation for your first day on Kohechi. The accommodation is comfortable, and as other people have commented, the owner couple are very friendly and kind. Dinner was also a feast of botan nabe. I am grateful that I was able to find such a nice accommodation. I was also soothed by the apprentice hunter's signature dog.

Used for walking Kumano Kodo Kohechi in April 2024.They lent me a bicycle to a hotel near Nosakogawa Onsen and I was able to work up a sweat. The restaurant is run by a very friendly couple, and they even prepare lunch boxes for the next day.

I used it while walking along the Kumano Kodo Kohechi route. It took about 6 hours (including breaks) to walk from Mt. Koya. I stayed for one night with two meals and a boxed lunch for the next day. The wild boar hotpot for dinner was delicious and I was very satisfied. Also, I was able to use the washing machine, which was helpful.

We spent the night here twice during our Kumano Kohechi. What a fantastic hostess: Iyoko. She had a solution for everything. The dinner and breakfast were sublime.
