Three male members who are beginner mountain climbers went around the Todaidai course.I had some trouble getting from my house to the parking lot, so I arrived late in the afternoon, recklessly left around 2:00 p.m., and returned just after 5:30 p.m.Even though I caused you a lot of trouble and worry, you handled everything with a smile and without any nagging.I'm really sorry. The Google reviews I looked up beforehand said that they were not satisfied with the facilities, but as someone who has lived in a mountain villa in the Southern Alps, I felt that they were very kind and user-friendly.Anyway, both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The room was a 6 tatami room, but it felt like it could sleep up to 5 adults. The bathtub has a stainless steel bathtub that I have never seen before, making it very retro.Having a shared toilet didn't feel like a big hassle. Although it was early August, it was so busy that I wanted more people to come and cheer for me.I brought a beer with me, but it wasn't that expensive, so I thought I'd go to the cafeteria and have a cold bottled beer instead of adding to my luggage and drinking lukewarm beer.Next, I want to do some astronomical observation in the parking lot.

The room is cool without an air conditioner at a time when Osaka is over 37 degrees Celsius.

My husband and I visited the Shikoku Pilgrimage the day after visiting Mt. Koya on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. My wife was one of the 100 Famous Mountains and we hadn't seen Mt. Odaigahara yet, so we planned to do it, but due to rain, we only had to visit Mt. Hidegatake. The inn had a woody log house-like atmosphere. Since it is an inn on a mountain, the service is similar to that of a mountain hut. Of course, you can't use your smartphone from your room. I have a cheap smartphone.

[Upward compatibility of mountain huts]●Parking: Available (free)→However, there are many people staying in their cars, so be sure to secure a spot early!●RoomThere are no facilities in the mountain hut. Please don't think of it as a guesthouse.Of course, since it's in the mountains, there are insects.●Caution① There are no hair dryers, towels, pajamas (yukata), toothbrushes, etc.→Jump & body soap is available.②At night, the temperature drops to 13℃ even in summer! Be careful not to catch a cold!●Customer serviceThe staff are very kind. Please call us if you have any trouble.●OthersThe stars are so beautiful! If you are lucky enough to have a clear day, please take a look at the stars.

I stayed at Odaigahara after hiking.I thought it was a mountain hut, but it turned out to be a pretty solid facility. The food was also delicious.

For someone who came up from Osugidani, this inn is like heaven. All the staff are very kind. Please think of it as a mountain hut rather than an inn. There are no amenities including bath towels (everyone staying in Osugidani has their own, so there's no need to worry). However, unlike other mountain huts, you don't have to arrive early in the afternoon, and there are electrical outlets available.I stayed alone in a 6 tatami private room, but it is spacious enough for up to 2 people. There are bedding for 4 people, so if it's cold, add more. The food is arranged in the cafeteria exactly at the starting time, so be careful that if you are late, it will get cold (rice and miso soup will be served later). Breakfast started at 7am, so if it's summer, you can watch the sunrise from Mt. Hidegatake and then come back in time. When I received my coffee, I was surprised to find it was a French press. It was very delicious. You can hear the wind from outside as well as the noise from the next room, so it might be a good idea to bring earplugs.I would like to use it again.

If anything, it will be a "mountain hut".All the staff are kind and polite. Please be careful when using this method. You must bring your own towels, bath towels, toothpaste, toothbrush, and tissues. Surprisingly, there are no soaps or body washes in the bathroom. There is also no hair dryer.Private rooms other than the annex (new building) do not have toilets or sinks. The restrooms are shared by men and women. There are only three washing areas for men and women in the large public bath. The public bath has boiling water. Not available at hot springs. Breakfast and dinner are served in the large dining room, with tables separated by each room. Drinks cannot be brought into the dining room. Items purchased at the cafeteria are OK. Please note that meal times are set. The taste is pretty average. The soundproofing is weak, so you can hear people walking in the hallway and stairs, as well as people talking next door. If you are nervous, we do not recommend using this service. There is no refrigerator or TV in the room. As I wrote at the beginning, the staff are very kind. Other than that, it is a ``mountain hut'' so I think it would be nice if you could use it at your own discretion.

Even without the advantage of being in a mountain hut with convenient transportation, the care taken in preparing the food, the seasoning, and the hospitality were all wonderful. The soft water bath made my skin smooth and my hair shiny. It ranked as good among the accommodations I visited while hiking. The only problem is that the shared toilets are the same for men and women.

There are posts saying that the prices are high for the facilities, but it is quite unreasonable to compare them with inns or business hotels in urban areas or hot spring towns.I think it would be best to think of this hot spring facility as a mountain hut-like facility (like a youth home) located in a national park at an altitude of 1,600 meters, about 40 minutes by car from the national highway. The temperature seems to be around -9 degrees in the flatlands. The means of transportation are by car or local bus, or by walking.By the way, the number of route buses is small, so I think it's a good idea to research thoroughly. The building is old and the facilities are quite poor. The building is closed during the winter, and I think it will be difficult to maintain the building. There are 3 washing areas in the bath, and the bathtub is large enough to accommodate 3 to 4 people. There is body soap and bar soap,Shampoo, conditioner, towels, bath towels, razors, hair dryers, yukatas, and toiletries are not provided, so please prepare your own.Regarding the food, I am personally satisfied with the quality of the food considering the location.Rice and tea are self-service, and alcohol is sold, but please think of it as a charge at the hotel. There are no TVs in the rooms and no Wi-Fi in the building. (Wi-Fi is available near the nearby visitor center)There is a TV in the lobby in front of the front desk, so you can watch it until 9pm.You can also hear the sound of the door opening and closing at the entrance to the room. The walls between the rooms next door are thin and you can hear people talking. The washroom and toilet are shared.Meal times and bathing times are also fixed. If someone is selfish and cannot be considerate and considerate of other guests, it will be stressful😃.However, I think it is a good option for those who live far away to stay the night before climbing early in the morning. However, it takes less than 3 hours to get there from Nara city, so I wonder if people living nearby won't use it. That's what I think.
