I stayed 5 nights and had a hellish experience. I originally planned to stay for 8 consecutive nights, but I don't know if the last 3 nights were intentionally canceled by the hotel or the fault of the website where I made the reservation, but there was no notification that it was canceled, so I thought it was canceled when I checked in. Since the cost of making a new reservation was increased by 300,000 won, I first decided to look at the room condition, but ended up canceling it, which was a happy decision.I am a person who travels domestically and internationally 3-4 times a year. This is my first time experiencing something as messy as this place.Basically, they do not change towels or clean trash. There was no guidance when I checked in on the first day, but since towels were not replaced or trash was not disposed of, I went to the front desk and asked for them, and was told that I had to leave the towel basket outside the door. I was skeptical as to whether the customer should go to such lengths, but I complied. On the second day, when we put out the towels and separated garbage, our room was left in the hallway. So, I asked the hotel and they just checked who the housekeeper was and gave me a towel. The third day was another check-in day, so of course it had to be cleaned, but towels were still changed and the room was not cleaned. When I asked the front desk why it wasn't cleaned, they only checked the housekeeper's ledger and spoke Japanese among themselves. If you make a mistake or intentionally cause damage multiple times, shouldn't you first apologize? When I asked him to apologize, he didn't even make eye contact and apologized forcefully. In vacation destinations such as the Maldives and Hawaii, they naturally go for 4-5 star hotels, but since tourists go out in the morning and return home late at night, they make reservations for 3-star hotels. This is the first time I have seen employees who are so bad at their jobs.Let’s compare the 3-star hotels in Japan that we visited during this itinerary.Osaka APA 4 nights, 3 bedroom - The room is small, but clean and faithful to the basics. As it is a small to medium-sized company with many branches, the employees are professional from their attire to greetings, so you can stay comfortably. Cleaned every day.Kyoto Richmond Hotel 3-person room for 2 nights - The staff is very friendly, the hotel is very spacious and clean, I got a good night's sleep, and it is cleaned every day.Tokyo The Tourist Hotel & Cafe Akihabara 5 nights, 3 beds - There are stains on the floor and walls of the accommodation, it is a half-tatami style room, but it is very dusty and the windows are locked with a key to prevent ventilation. There is a smell in the room, so even if you open the door to the hallway, the smell is still there, so if you don't use an air purifier, people who are sensitive to smells will not be able to sleep. There is a lot of dust so my nose itches. The bathroom floor was made of cheap material, so it was common for people to almost slip in the water while wearing slippers, so it seemed like falling would be a problem if you take an elderly person with you. If you wanted to save electricity with a small refrigerator, the facilities are so poor that ice cream melts and dairy products spoil. I have traveled to dozens of countries around the world, but everyone except the tall manager is unprofessional. When a customer checks in or is looking for something, they don't even think about helping and just stand there blankly, and only the tall male manager checks first and always solves the problem. It was compared to the staff at the three hotels in Japan.Tokyo 3 nights hotel monday premium okachimachi - It is located within 10 minutes near The Tourist Hotel, and although it is said to be a 4 star hotel, I booked it cheaper than The Tourist and moved to the hotel and finally tasted heaven. Since it was established 3-4 years ago, it was comfortable and free of dust or odor, and there was a sink in the accommodation, so I was able to wash and eat fruit, which was great. Moreover, there was a TAKEYA1 hypermarket within 3 minutes, so I was able to purchase a lot more food, beverages, and daily necessities than at a convenience store, and the location was very good as the station was right when I opened the door. In addition, there was no self-check-in, and I was a guest who came in late at night, so I was impressed when I came in by putting my luggage in the right place and turning on the air conditioner without sparing anything. As expected, the professional hotelier gave the customer a paper with service details so that there was no confusion for the customer, and cleaned the room every day. Conclusion: It was a terrible experience in Tokyo to spend 5 days in a dusty, smelly, poorly cleaned, insider-oriented hotel where customers put their towels outside. It's unprofessional and the distance is bad because it's far from the Toyeong subway. I don't understand why the reviews are good. It's the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in and I can't recommend it. They say the coffee tastes good, but I didn't like the burnt taste. I shouldn't have booked a ticket to save some money. The price is similar to a nearby 4-star hotel, but the hotel conditions and service are very different.
